Possibly 20 million illegals already in this country. Most probably just came here wanting a better life.
But you better believe there are those that came with bad intentions. Some are gang members and criminals wanted in other countries. And now this lunatic judge wants to let them carry firearms.
No law stops criminals from carrying guns. Been told that a million times by Second Amendment zealots.
But somehow this law would have stopped these criminals from carrying guns. What is different about these criminals from all other criminals?
You forget that before today, we made a distinction between citizens and non citizens.
You think all those people being waved on in by the border patrol would have been let in carrying ARs? No.
What are you talking about? Your "theory" as far as I can tell is that
"Ctizen criminals" won't respect gun laws. and herfore restrictions on gun ownership won't work for them. But "non-citizen criminals" can be expected to follow gun laws and this ruling lets them off the hook.
Explain for me how this ruling results in illegal immigrants having guns that they would not have had before.
In theory, this ruling opens the doors for illegals to open carry weapons coming across the border
What stopped them from doing it before this ruling?
Probably law enforcement armed with legal authority for the situation.
So gun control laws work.
The effectiveness or not of gun control laws is besides the point.
The point is what does the Constitution say…
"the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." -The 2nd amendment
Citizens have a constitutional right to keep and bear arms
[The Second Amendment was based partially on the right to keep and bear arms in English common law and was influenced by the English Bill of Rights of 1689. Sir William Blackstone described this right as an auxiliary right, supporting the natural rights of self-defense and resistance to oppression, and the civic duty to act in concert in defense….]
