Baylor Football Kick Times and Schedule Adjustments Announced
WACO, Texas – Baylor football kickoff times and television networks for the first three weeks of the 2022 season, along with a schedule adjustment later in the year, were announced Thursday by the Big 12 Conference.
The Bears open the season hosting Albany at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 3. That game will air on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. Baylor then heads to BYU for a 9:15 p.m. CT kick on Saturday, Sept. 10, before returning home to host Texas State at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 17. The BYU game will be televised on ESPN, and the Texas State game will be on FS1.
Additionally, Baylor’s game at West Virginia on Thursday, Oct. 13, has been set for a 6 p.m. CT kick on FS1, and Baylor’s final game of the regular season at Texas over Thanksgiving weekend has been moved to Friday, Nov. 25, and will air on ABC or ESPN, with kickoff time to be determined.
All kickoff times not announced as part of today’s release will be revealed as part of the 12-day selection process. Throughout the season, Big 12 Conference kick times are typically announced 12 days before each game, with the exception of select games chosen for 6-day windows.
BU is coming off the most successful season in program history, capturing a third Big 12 championship and winning the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The win over Ole Miss was Baylor’s first New Year’s Day bowl win since beating Tennessee in the Sugar Bowl in 1957 and gave the Bears a school-record five wins over ranked opponents.
Baylor’s 2022 home schedule features games against Albany (Sept. 3), Texas State (Sept. 17), Oklahoma State (Oct. 1), Kansas (Oct. 22), Kansas State (Nov. 12) and TCU (Nov. 19). The Bears have road games at BYU (Sept. 10), Iowa State (Sept. 24), West Virginia (Oct. 13), Texas Tech (Oct 29), Oklahoma (Nov. 5) and Texas (Nov. 25).
