84 Days till Kickoff: Baylor’s #84 Jaylen Ellis

Jaylen Ellis is another talented wide Baylor receiver that will have an opportunity to see action on the field in 2022. He is a junior and should have two years of eligibility remaining past this season. Ellis is majoring in health, kinesiology, and leisure studies.
He only had one catch for three yards against West Virginia in 2021.
As a redshirt freshman in 2020, Ellis played in nine games and started one of those. The Round Rock native hauled in his first career reception against Oklahoma for 39 yards. He earned his first career start against Oklahoma State and made one catch for two yards.
Ellis redshirted the 2019 season.
In his senior year at Cedar Ridge High School in Round Rock, Ellis put up video game numbers with 46 receptions, 1,153 yards, and 14 touchdowns on the season. He earned a four-star ranking from 247 sports and was ranked the No. 34 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 31 player in Texas. Ellis was a three-time All-District performer and was a US Army All-American selection. The Round Rock native chose Baylor over Texas, Michigan, Arizona, and Tennessee.
