As always, keep track of both the stats and roster countdowns in the Offseason Hub!

Khalil Keith is a sixth-year senior offensive tackle from Alpine, Alabama. Only six days after the Sugar Bowl victory over Ole Miss, the 6-foot-5, 330-pound right tackle announced he would be returning to Waco for his sixth and final season. Keith will be one of three sixth-year seniors returning on the offensive line, Jacob Gall and Grant Miller being the other two. The three of them will be tasked with holding down the right side of the offensive line, while 2021 Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year Connor Galvin will hold down Blake Shapen’s blindside at left tackle.

Heading into 2021, the offensive line remained a big question mark for the Bears. After playing four games at left guard the year prior, Khalil Keith slid over and played the entire season at the right tackle position. Not only did Keith solidify the right side of the offensive line, he even raised some eyebrows in regards to his draft prospects for the upcoming season. Pro Football Focus has Keith as the highest-graded returning tackle coming into 2022 (91.7). Keith may even be one of the higher touted tackles in the 2023 class.

As a junior in 2020, Keith played in all game nine games, including four starts at left guard. He started against Kansas, West Virginia, Kansas State, and Oklahoma.

Keith appeared in all 14 games during the 2019 season and started five of those at left guard, including the last four the season: Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Georgia. He did not make any starts as a redshirt freshman in 2018 but appeared in 6 games as a rotational offensive lineman.

Keith was a two-time all-state offensive lineman (2015 and 2016) from Winterboro High School in Alpine, Alabama. He was rated as the nation’s 53rd-best OL prospect in the 2017 class, according to 247. Along with the all-state honors he earned in his 2016 senior season, Keith graded out at 92%, and recorded 34 bulldozers and 24 pancakes. He was also a great basketball player in high school. Keith committed to Baylor over Ole Miss, South Alabama, and Jacksonville State. Once he got to Waco, he redshirted the 2017 season.
