The No. 12 ranked Baylor Bears stopped a two-game losing streak and moved to 15-2,4-2 . The 14-0 start to the season was the best in program history, with the exception of the magical 40-0 run in 2012. The Bears dropped two games on the road, one to Kansas and the other to Iowa state.
After returning home, the Bears battled it out with UCF for their first conference meeting. In a match with 22 lead changes, it could have gone either way, but ultimately Baylor prevailed and picked up another conference win.
The Bears were led in scoring by Darianna Littlepage-Buggs with 24 points, going 9-9 from the field and 6-8 from the charity stripe. Dre’Una Edwards and Sarah Andrews both recorded double-figures as well; Edwards with 18 and Andrews with 11.
Andrews also recorded 10 assists for the only double-double of the game. Those 10 assists were good to lead the Bears in the category, the rest of the team combined for 13 to put up a total of 23 assists, 10 more than UCF with 13.
Off the boards, Baylor outrebounded the Knights 39-27, led by Aijha Blackwell with 13.
