The real sad part about this is all is when Zach has a monster game against Duke and we actually win - Thule is gonna look like a freaking genius.

If we win, and it's a BIG if, Rhule will not look like a "genius", he'll look like a fool who didn't start Zach in the first place against 2 teams we should have easily beaten.

Now maybe a little hope....but who really knows?

ok, does he have a body double or something? Who's the guy on the left in that still frame before you start the video?

Where you been INB.

Not the same here as BearFans, but it works.

Take care.

Much, much deserved.

Should have been him from the beginning.

He has really trimmed down.

High hopes for this Sturday.

I think its the opposite. He'll look like an idiot. But we'll get some platitude about how you have to get kicked and get back up before becoming champions. Either way, Im glad for the change. We had no chance of winning this game with Anu so have to try something else.

It sounds to me that Zach felt he won the job in camp and should have been the starter all along. I think Rhule brought his transfer in and wanted to play his guy. Success with Zach would have been contributed to Briles and he wanted to play his recruits to assure he got the credit.

Did anyone else catch what he said at the 3:30 mark about having to have some urgency and needing picking up the pace? I wonder if that's what we are going to see Saturday....or is that a subtle challenge from Zach to the coaching staff for this game?

Maybe, maybe not. I think the bigger problem here is that CMR only likes to run certain types of schemes and has no idea of how to best utilize the track star speed that he inherited from AB. That's why we are seeing so many Freshmen playing and why CMR has said that the cupboard is bare. He doesn't know how to use what he has, so he plays the guys he recruited because he knows how to use them. It's the same excuse he used for his first year at Temple when he was playing a bunch of true Freshmen...according to one of the visitors we recently had posting here from Temple. Apparently the fans there thought they had the talent to win 5 or 6 games that year, but CMR said the cupboard was bare and played true Freshmen...resulting in 2 (I think) wins on the season. It eventually worked out for them there, and hopefully it will here as well.

As for Zach, I can't say why he hasn't played more than a couple of downs. Maybe he can impress this week and solidify his spot in the lineup. I do think that our returning players will play harder for Zach....I guess we will find out Saturday.

If we win with Zach against Duke, I don't think Rhule will look like a genius, but the word does rhyme with Rhule.

I hesitate to post this, but I honestly have a positive premonition for this Saturday.

As I Have said before. Been here, done that, heard that. Hope all will go well sat but will be surprised. We had built up to the place of most elite programs where you red shirt almost all if not all freshman. This is done for a number of reason, the primary one that they are freshmen and need to grow, get stronger and learn and adjust. It looks to me that the current coach is throwing away a whole class to hopefully have a good season and actually not building smart for down the road. We have to know that when the talk is about all the freshmen and the walkons playing quite a bit ,we either have our greatest recruiting class ever or we are in serious trouble for a couple of years. The new qb will be playing behind the same line and same patterns run, etc. Hope he can do it. I just have noticed over the years that the wambam qbs from college are drafted into the NFL to a team with a bad offensive line--they seem to no longer to be wambam. As a Nebraska coach one time told me that he could tell who would win a game in the first 10 minutes of the game by simply watching which line controlled that line. Maybe when we get 15 or so of those linemen we can be again in the elite talk. Remember it took Briles a number of years to get the depth there. So we can hope and enjoy this season of learning. In addition we can hope that the BOR has learned to not panic over some accusations that so far has not bee proved to be true. In the true spirit of repentance perhaps they would like to suggest a statue of Art Briles to be placed outside of the place that Art built. I would be the first to give to the project.

I am also optimistic about tomorrow. Mixed feelings but optimistic. We do have the talent to win & with Zach leading the way, things might begin to gel more.
