BREAKING: Baylor lands running back John Lovett from New Jersey

Following his official visit to Baylor last weekend ago, New Jersey running back John Lovett‍ (6-1, 194)  gave his verbal pledge to Matt Rhule and the Baylor coaching staff hours before National Signing Day.

Lovett committed to Baylor over offers from Michigan State, Penn State, Rutgers, Iowa, Tennessee, Maryland and others.

In his senior season, Lovett carried the ball 179 times for 1,359 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also added 15 receptions for 238 yards and one score.

Lovett becomes Baylor's third commitment of the week and the 24th of the 2017 class.
