As typical, Ish Wainright produced possibly the most Ish Wainright-like box score of his career to lead No. 11 Baylor (24-6; 11-6) to a 71-62 victory over No. 10 West Virginia (23-7; 11-6) on Monday evening in Waco.

Without the help of starting point guard Manu Lecomte, Wainright the Bears were able to overcome Press Virginia and rebound with their third top-10 victory of the season when they defeated the Mountaineers.

Baylor's lone senior on the 2016-2017 Bears, Wainright finished the evening with 7 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assist and 2 steals while shooting 3-of-5 from the floor.

The victory was extremely impressive considering the absence of Lecomte, but even more so considering the Bears trip to Morgantown earlier in the season resulted in a 21-point loss while committing 29 turnovers.

On Monday, the Bears still struggled with 18 turnovers, but with the absence of Lecomte, those turnovers will be dismissed casually with the victory in hand.

After extending out to a 12-3 lead early on, Baylor's inability to connect on free throws or protect the basketball against West Virginia's press in the first half allowed the Mountaineers to take a 30-28 lead into the break.

Junior center Jo Lual-Acuil led the Bears with 7 points and 4 rebounds while senior Ish Wainright was Baylor's second leading scorer with 5 points and 3 rebounds. However, their 2-of-6 performance from the charity stripe was a big reason for the Bears struggles to close the half.

Lual-Acuil finished the night with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

After finishing with 8 points and 5 rebounds in his first outing against West Virginia earlier this season, junior Johnathan Motley finished the first half with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 assists in the first half.

Fortunately for Baylor, the second half was a different story for Motley. The junior went on to drop in 19 additional points, giving him 23 total for the game to go along with 8 boards.

Baylor will play their final regular season of the game on Saturday when they travel to Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns (10-19; 4-12) at 3 p.m. The game will be television nationally on ESPN.
