I don't...Zeke has very little leverage and pretty much has to report early August unless he wants to lose a year of seniority accrual.

I suspect it means they might try resigning him at a lower number or someone like Tavon Austin just got a little more job security.

By all accounts Hurns is a good guy but didnt produce relative to his contract.

To be somewhat fair to him I think it isnt so much his current contract as much as he wants the Cowboys to make clear now they are committed to him long term vice playing him with a mind towards having him play out his contract (including the 5th year option), franchising him twice, and then casting him overboard.

Considering how much we use him, I can understand his play...that said he doesnt have a lot of leverage, but to his positive, Jerry is usually pretty above board on this stuff so he likely will get him something that makes him feel more secure.

Multiple sources have confirmed that Cowboys holdout running back Ezekiel Elliott has indeed left the country.
Elliott has returned to Mexico to train in Cabo San Lucas while in a contract dispute with the Cowboys.
Elliott trained in Cabo in 2017 when he was suspended six games by the NFL for violating its personal conduct policy.

While some members of the Cowboys brass quietly believe going out of the country while his teammates are working hard in training camp is a bad look for Elliott, sources close to Elliott contend that going to Cabo is no different than the Cowboys being in California, away from their headquarters in Frisco.

Cowboys LB Sean Lee is sidelined with a twisted knee.

Per ESPN's Todd Archer, Lee does not need surgery after "tweaking" his knee in Monday's practice but will "get some time early in camp to recover." It's reportedly a "minor" MCL sprain. As we have learned over the years, there is really no such thing as a minor Sean Lee injury. The 33-year-old figures to sit out the entire preseason. Projected as 2019 depth, Lee took a sizable pay cut in March.

Elliott needs to report to training camp by Aug. 6 in order to receive credit for a year towards unrestricted free agency, so it seems likely he will report by then. However, he could gamble by extending his holdout in hopes of forcing the Cowboys to cave and give him a long-term deal. In that scenario, years towards free agency wouldn't matter so long as he has monetary security from Dallas.

If I had a few bucks, I would put it on Cobb as Dak's top receiver in 2019.
