He's everything and more we thought he could be coming back from the injury when we got him in the second round. He was on the first round board. So that's, that is absolutely a winner."
"I've said this before. Zeke is, our best player. He certainly, yesterday, would, he was up against a tough situation with where we are. But still, I like both those players. I think we're lucky to have both of those guys."
"I wouldn't take the resources. I would not take those resources that I'm putting there and trade not having those guys for those resources. I would not do that."

Gotta say, if I am a player, I know that Jerry is gonna have my back through thick and thin - and long after my playing career is over. We may not like it, but in the grand scheme, his employees are more important
I don't quote him. Not ok ok. You are so.... I don't know what! LolBearForce said:Wichitabear said:You are such a pain.zunooreo said:

Mocks starting to zero in on players for Dallas:
Cowboys
Micah Parsons
LB, Penn State
The Cowboys defense has been historically bad this year. Adding the best defensive player in the draft can only contribute to improving that unit. Jaylon Smith has been inconsistent and Micah Parsons will be a three-down player for the Cowboys.
Cowboys
Penei Sewell
OT, Oregon
The Cowboys have been adamant since the Dak Prescott injury that they're going to be committed to Prescott in the future. If their word is to be believed, then Dallas must begin to inspect their roster to find opportunities to get younger and cheaper. Left tackle is a good spot to start, given the durability issues present with Tyron Smithno matter how good he is. Sewell is the best player available at this point in the draft order. That said, Dallas will probably have suitors for this pick given the buzz around some of the other quarterbacks available. That's a tough choice to make, but Dallas must protect Prescott in 2021 and beyond for the Cowboys to be their best.
Cowboys
Penei Sewell
OT, Oregon
This one would surprise me given our other needs:
Dallas Cowboys: Gregory Rousseau, DE, Miami
The Cowboys have dealt with numerous injuries this year, which is part of the reason they've struggled so much defensively. However, they still need an injection of talent, and a dynamic pass rusher would go a long way in helping the secondary.
Gregory Rousseau logged double-digit sacks as a redshirt freshman in 2019. He was compared to Calais Campbell entering Miami.
Pick change; previously Penei Sewell, OT
Cowboys: Micah Parsons, ILB, Penn State
USA Today
Six of the bottom 10 defenses at stopping the run own losing records and most likely won't compete in the postseason. Dallas ranks 30th in rushing yards allowed per carry (4.9) and their 153.8 ground gains surrendered is second worst in the NFL. Parson's ability to cover sideline to sideline helps him neutralize many of today's zone blocked running schemes. An incredible tackling radius, elite level mobility and instinctual intelligence make him an ideal selection for Dallas' beleaguered defense.
Still not sold on Dak's tires being in great shape. If Fields drops to 3 and we are there, gotta be in the conversation.BearForce said:
I think Cincinnati drafts Sewell before us and no way we draft Parsons. That is an automatic trade down with maybe the Panthers who could use Parsons.

I can see why that one mock a few days ago had this kid mocked to us. 6'5 in a TE body, can play all the receiver positions if needed. Or simply mismatch against 5'9 CBs
The key this next season will be picking up folks cut by other teams due to the lower cap on 1 plus 1 deals, one year guarantee plus one Cowboy option. And drafting well. Thats where tradebacks come into play. We can get one hell of a player in the 10-14 range.BearForce said:
Honestly Fields is gone
Jets - Lawrence
Jags - Fields
Bengals - Sewell
I think like we have both mocked before, you trade down and get cheap labor in the draft and get a deal done with Dak.

#3 is 2200 and #10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 are 1300, 1250, 1200, 1150 and 1100. Thats a high 2, 3 and 4 back plus plus
I really like the Barmore kid from Alabama in the 2nd. He can play 1 or 3,BearForce said:
Exactly and you could then trade back up to late 1st round and still have a 2nd and 3rd round pick. You target the best DT, Ossai, or Cosmi/Northwestern OT and get your safety in rd 2.
btw - traded the 4 pick for the 11 and 17 in that last mock, switch places to thier advantage in 2nd plus we picked up a 3rd. Would do that in a hearbeat if it were offered in the real draftBarmore has an already rock solid and mature upper body that makes it hard for blockers to engage and stick against his body. The Alabama interior defender possesses outstanding raw power combined with active/busy and powerful hands that enable his frame to remain clean and disengage when necessary. Excellent with executing swim/arm over moves that allow him to make plays behind the line or in his gap as a run defender. As a redshirt freshman, he was treated mostly as a third down specialist prior to the final four games of the season. He has the versatility to play 1 or 3-technique in an even front, but he's spent most of his time as a base 4i/4-technique in Alabama's odd front. This is a prospect that's only scratching the surface of what he could become and with an expanded role in 2020, it shouldn't be surprising to see him skyrocket up draft boards. BearForce said:

Who will we lose in 2021?
Probably at least one, if not both CBs Chido and Jourdan. OL Cam Erving (we may stick our neck out if the draft does not look to go our way). Joe Looney will be gone. Badass and McGovern will have to make it work. DT TCrawford and LBs Sean Lee and maybe Joe Thomas. X has kinda dropped off a bit so I dont see us resigning him. I think they may resign Antwaun Woods. Good rotational player. Noah Brown will probably be replaced in the draft.
Wondering if they try to retain Aldon Smith? He kinda dropped off recently and Randy Gregory proved he is what Jerry said he is.
Andy Dalton - dude has some skills. Not sure we will be able to afford him. He could take a decent team far in the playoffs
wish they would let the young guys take a few shots. Gilbert and diNuccitrey3216 said:
Andy is not really good at this point. He can make some throws but he's gonna kill you with turnovers. Cows should've lost to Minny but they dropped INT's twice on the go-ahead drive.

Dalton won't be here next year. Too expensive. Gilbert will get the snaps within another week or two
