this is one reason I like this kid:

Well you could trade Gallup for a defensive player and go that direction with pick #1 but I think there is a big drop off from the top 3 CBs in the draft to the next group in terms of #1 CBs.

I wouldnt be against that. I would think we could find a nice DL for Gallup

Or if you think isn't falling off the cliff, you trade Gallup for Gilmore (Patriots) and then draft Pitts and address DL via the draft.

For $40 million per, we can get a used Prescott albeit with one bad wheel. Or we can rent him for a year at $37 per and take our chances that he comes back well. Or get him signed to the one year and trade him. I would think he brings in more than Stafford, but you never know

I think you have to pay him given the market. Hopefully he works it so there is some left over for his teammates

JJ Watt is now a FA... my want for more Wattage in our D only dims when I think of all the time has lost due to injury. But he is a game changing dude

Bad year to 'Want-A-Watt' with the smaller cap

he has moved up to #25 overall in Mel's rankings.

25. Kelvin Joseph, CB, Kentucky
HT: 6-1 | WT: 195 | Previously: NR
Joseph is one of the biggest risers in this class. His 2020 tape -- his lone season at Kentucky -- is excellent. A former four-star recruit who signed with LSU, Joseph is a third-year sophomore who sat out the 2019 season. He had four interceptions in 2020, including a pick-six against Tennessee. Check it out here. He has ball skills and instincts to cut off passes and he's tough in the run game, too. Joseph has all the tools to be a great pro.

So we have until March 9th to sign Dak to a long term contract - or that is when we assign the franchise tag.

my gut says that him signing a second tag would send him on his way 2022. And even if he stayed, the Qb market could be in the mid 40s

The free agent safety class is better than the draft class and safety is cheaper than CB, thus we will draft a CB in the first two rounds and may address FS in free agency or maybe a trade.

Thanks for thinking about us. I have been blessed so far as I have not lost power at all. I don't know if that is because I am kind of across the street from an assisted living facility but then again on our street of about 15 houses, only mine and two others has power.
