My wish list:

Kyle Pitts - doubtful he will be there at 10

Patrick Surtrain - most likely unless someone trades ahead of us

Jaycee Horn - Right behind Surtrain. Love that dawg in him.

Tradeback for Michah Parsons and/or Christian Barmore 12-15 area

Tradeback to 20ish for Trevon Moehrig/Caleb Fairley/Greg Newsome

The Cowboys have to pick up Leighton Vander Esch's fifth-year option worth $9.1 million by Monday. "Certainly not unlike Sean (Lee), Leighton's had some unfortunate injury situations," Stephen Jones said. "We'll take a look at that and put it all into the mix in terms of where we're going to be with the salary cap and make a decision that's in the best interest of our team. Whether we exercise an option or not, it doesn't mean at all that we're not interested in keeping Leighton around here."

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott "is right on track or maybe a little ahead of schedule" as he returns from a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle suffered last season, coach Mike McCarthy said Tuesday.

McCarthy said he attended Prescott's workout on Saturday, calling it the most extensive the quarterback has had so far.

"I was very impressed with his progress," McCarthy said. "Just coming off the type of injury. His footwork, he's doing all the normal movements that you look to do in a quarterback-school format this time of year."

Shortly after his injury on Oct. 11, Prescott was given a four-to-six-month recovery period. He had a second surgery on his right ankle in December to clean up a previous issue, but that has not slowed his rehab.

Surgery in the AM, not sure If I will be still doped up by Rd 1.

Whichita - I expect you to keep the boys PG

Bearforce, I expect you to correctly predict trades and strategies

Goldmind - I expect you to say 'defense, defense, defense, defense, defense, defense, defense, defense, defense, defense, defense, defense, defense, defense, defense....'

Trader, franko and the rest of you, pray for yourselves that you never get a kidney stone stuck at the the very end where only the rabbi mole should be operating

Winning by cheating is just as impressive as winning fairly, probably even more so. Your opponent was better than you in every way, and you beat them with your brain.

The Carolina Panthers have traded quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to the Denver Broncos for a sixth-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft, it was announced Wednesday.

The Panthers will pay $7 million to Bridgewater; the Broncos will pay him $3 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.===

Since the Broncos have #9, I assume this takes them out of the QB race in Rd 1. My guess is that it's either Sewell or Slater, whomever is available. The other main need for them is CB but the draft is a little deeper in CBx

btw - Panthers are a bit strapped for WRs. Robbie Anderrson is on his final year and DJ Moore will be on his fith year option.

Maybe a trade partner for Gallup?

in no way, form, or fashion, should the Cowboys be trading up

they have the 8th and 39th picks, also the 73th pick. How about Gallup for the 39th and 73th pick and we throw in the 99th?

They get a starting #1 WR playmaker and we end up with 10, 39, 44, 73, 75, 115, 138, 179, 192, 227, 238.

btw, if we dont get Barimore, this is my next best:

DT Alim McNeill, NC State

If the Dallas Cowboys come out of the 2021 NFL Draft with only one DT, it should be Alim McNeill. He's a perfect fit as a 1-tech in Dan Quinn's 4-3 system. He's a strong player who knows how to utilize his length to his advantage. He consistently sets and resets the line of scrimmage in both the running and passing game and he surprisingly has a little juice as a pass rusher as well. He's just starting to scratch the surface of his talent.

At the very least, Washington is a team to watch as the first picks come off the board. If it stays put at No. 19, keep an eye out for TCU safety Trevon Moehrig as a possibility. We're told Washington likes him a lot. He's expected to be the first safety off the board.
Assassin
How long do you want to ignore this user?
this could be interesting if some team reallly likes Waddle

There are teams ahead of Philly in the draft order who believe the Eagles are trying to trade up from No. 12 to make sure they get the speedy Waddle. Part of the issue here is that the Eagles, following their trade down from No. 6 to No. 12, are now parked directly behind NFC East rivals Dallas and the Giants in the draft order, and obviously aren't going to be able to trade with those teams. They believe (accurately) that the Giants would be a threat to take Waddle at No. 11 if he fell that far, so if they want him, they have to get up to No. 9 or higher. Detroit at No. 7 and Carolina at No. 8 are two teams that would be interested in trading down and could take the Eagles' call.
