If you are keeping an eye on backup QBs:

QB
Jamie Newman
6'3"
234 lbs
Georgia

Pre-Draft Analysis
Newman is a developmental prospect with a good combination of build, arm strength, toughness, pocket presence and mobility. If he's going to realize his potential, his accuracy, anticipation and decision-making need to be more consistent. -- Steve Muench

2

Ian Book
Notre Dame
QB
3

Feleipe Franks
Arkansas
QB
4

Sam Ehlinger
Texas
QB
5

Shane Buechele
SMU
QB
6

Zach Smith

One nice CB left out there, Shakur Brown from Michigan

Brown is an undersized corner with marginal length and top-end speed, but there's a lot to like about his tape. He's instinctive and flashes the ability to run routes for receivers. Brown is a ballhawk who plays the ball not the man, is aggressive going after it and shows the ability to snatch it out of the air. -- Steve Muench

BF, thought he was off the board - Hamsah Nasirildeen, the FSU S

During Nasirildeen's two seasons as a starter (2018-19), he totaled 192 tackles, four TFL and three INTs. He is a tall strong safety/outside linebacker hybrid with good bulk and above-average speed for his frame. He's a smooth athlete for his size, and his length is an asset in coverage. But he's not overly twitchy, and he lacks good acceleration out of his pedals and breaks. In addition, he's inconsistent with his ball reaction skills and takes some poor angles to the ball in the air. Nasirildeen has more than capable ball skills when he's in position and shows the ability to high-point and challenge bigger targets. He's an aggressive and willing run-defender, but he needs to clean up his angles. -- Final evaluation

I like him but we need a FS more like Johnson out of Indiana or Washington out of TCU.

Josh Ball - Offensive Tackle Marshall Thundering Herd 2021 NFL Draft Scouting Report
Scouting report for NFL Draft prospect Josh Ball
THE NFL DRAFT BIBLEAPR 20, 2021

Overview:
Originally a player for the Florida State Seminoles, Ball had a brief stop at Butler Community College before landing with the Thundering Herd. Ball is a massive human being who is almost impossible to miss on the field. As might be imagined, he is a powerful dude who has some incredibly strong hands at the point of attack. In pass protection, he is a difficult player to get around with adequate length and athleticism for the position. Despite his high pedigree, he was not able to secure a full-time role in his first year with the team in 2019. In 2020, Ball assumed a starting role and showed a lot of promise that once was anticipated as a recruit. He is a heavy-footed mover who struggles to work laterally and to the second level. Ball can lose leverage when working laterally, not able to cover enough ground athletically against speedier outside rushers. Despite manning the left side for the Thundering Herd, Ball may be suited more at right tackle going forward. There are clearly traits to work with here as a developmental piece on Day 3 of the 2021 draft. The biggest question marks for teams will be if he checks out off the field.
Background:
Began his career at Florida State, but was dismissed after being found guilty of dating violence. Transferred to Marshall after spending a season at Butler Community College. Ball saw action in all 13 games in 2019, starting one game against Western Kentucky. Started eight games in 2020 at left tackle. Was considered a four-star prospect according to Rivals, 247Sports and ESPN. Chose Florida State over offers from LSU, Miami, Penn State and Tennessee among others. Ball was considered a four-star recruit coming out of Stafford High School in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Tony Pauline, chief draft analyst for Pro Football Network, cited how well Ball performed this season at Marshall against two highly regarded defensive linemen in Western Kentucky's DeAngelo Malone, the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year, and Appalachian State's Demetrius Taylor. Pauline said Ball has the potential to develop into a starting left tackle in the NFL and gives Ball a third-round grade.

"He has excellent size and excellent length," Pauline said. "He's fundamentally sound and consistent."

In May 2018, though, Florida State suspended Ball after an accusation of dating violence by his former girlfriend.
Ball was never charged and transferred to Butler Community College in Kansas, where he played in the fall of 2018.

There was a belief Ball would return to Florida State after the school reinstated him. But on Dec. 13, 2018, he released a statement on Twitter that said in part: "I have made the determination to stay closer to family and not return to Florida State even though I have been cleared and in good standing to do so by the Florida State administration."

He added he was "an advocate of women's rights, equality, and due process," and said he would "never be intimidated nor shamed into stopping the pursuit of my dreams."

Ok but you note Ball pretty much went no comment and didn't deny anything. And Jeff did note if true...are you saying he is wrong with that qualifier?

Why would he need to deny if already substantiated that it was bs? He was never charged after ELEVEN ALLEGED VIOLATIONS in this age? He was cleared of all allegations and offered a scholarship back at FSU after one year at Butler?

In either case I'm confident we will find out who he really is soon. I just would have passed myself.

Winning by cheating is just as impressive as winning fairly, probably even more so. Your opponent was better than you in every way, and you beat them with your brain.
