WACO, Texas – Baylor football offensive lineman Connor Galvin was named to the Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List, as previously announced by the organization in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Houston.

The award is presented annually to the college football offensive or defensive lineman, who in addition to outstanding performance and ability, best exemplifies the character and discipline of NFL Hall of Fame coach Vince Lombardi.

Galvin, a fifth-year senior from Katy, Texas, is coming off a big season in 2021 in which he garnered multiple All-America selections by various outlets. He was also named to the 2021 All-Big 12 First Team by both the Associated Press and the league’s coaches while earning a spot on Dave Campbell’s All-Texas First Team.

So far this preseason, Galvin has been named an All-American by Athlon (First Team) and Phil Steele (Second Team), as well as an All-Big 12 First Team pick by Athlon, Phil Steele and the conference’s media members. Additionally, he was named the Best Offensive Lineman in Texas by DCTF and was recently named to the Outland Trophy Watch List.

The recipient of the 2022 Rotary Lombardi Award will be announced on Dec. 7, with finalists being named on Nov. 23. Semifinalists will be released on Nov. 10, with a mid-season watch list update set to come out on Oct. 15.
