The irony in all this is that it's just exposing what the SEC in particular has been doing for decades. It's just accelerated, publicized and weaponized a formula that used to be hush-hush and employed by only those driven and morally corrupt enough to break the rules.

The SEC has always been in the captain's chair as college football is driven over the greed cliff. Any moralizing or handwringing from those corners at this point rings as hollow as their moral compass.
