Boom! Goes the punt....

Glad to see this. Every aspect of the game matters and he will put us in a position to win with many-a-punt.

He'll probably see the most action each game. Will be able to refine his craft for the Pro's.

They need to bring the goofy kid shagging the balls with him. He's more fun to watch than the kicker.

If this record continues, he'll be the next Daniel Sepulveda.

If he wanted the opportunity to showcase his talents, he picked the right school.

That's excellent. Field position will be a huge key with Rhule's slow, lower scoring offense.

Man this is exciting!! The last eight years, good punters did not want to even consider coming to Baylor because we never punted! Thank you Matt Rhule. The transformation of Baylor Football continues.

I hope this dude has a well rested leg when he gets to waco. He will be the busiest man on campus.

We're headed back to the Sepulveda days when we marveled at a punter that could average a hang time of 4 and who was the toughest player on the team.

Thanks for the depressing reminder of the days when too many times our punter was BU's "offensive player of the game"...........And yes, per early indications that's where we might be heading back to.

#1 Punter chooses 0-5 team.

Now, there's a man who belongs in the School of Business.

Briles had great punters. Epperson and Roth were very good. And so was Galitz. He just didn't use them as much. I glanced at their stats and I would say the average was around 43 yards per punt. Usually at the top of the Big12 in net average.

I get the jokes but just pointing out that punting hasn't been a weakness at Baylor in a very long time.

I don't understand the kicker rating system. How is he a 5* if we are his only scholarship offer??

Either way welcome aboard!!

Great news! Welcome aboard!!!!

You will be very, very busy (probably the busiest punter in NCAA) and the NFL will have lots of film to look at. BU is a great choice for you! #nextlevelBU

Probably because we are the team most in need of his services. Ray Guy Award, here we come (again)!

I hear Rhule's teams need beasts on the offensive line, great QB's and amazing punters.

Yes, we are going to need them a lot more now, no question.

I'm glad we're getting quality talent coming in, but I guess I also have a problem with punters....

Saying we have the best punter is kinda like saying that we're the best at surrendering. In years past, pre-Briles, the only all Big 12 player that BU would have would be the punter; sorta like winning Miss Congeniality. Oh, she's not that great looking, but boy does she have a great personality!

It's our time consuming slow punt oriented offense.

Rhule will develop NFL players out of the punters and kick off return guys.

Isaac if you are reading this, welcome aboard and pay no heed to this group of out of shape keyboard jockeys. You will play on championship teams at Baylor and astute football fans realize that little things like field position matter in close games. Welcome aboard and enjoy your time at Baylor.

And sorry, Isaac, but even some of our fans have no balls...

Field position and ball control (time of possession) are for pu S s ies. I kinda miss those 1:30 scoring drives that started from our own 20.

Rhule lands a top national recruit and 'fans' here show no respect, appreciation, or knowledge about the game as it relates to the import of having a guy who can potentially flip the field over the next 4 years.

Criticize Rhule, if you will, over something legit. News of his program landing a premier special teams guy obviously isn't the time or place for the fair weather clown chorus.

If he were reading this, then by popular theories here he never would have committed...in which case he wouldn't be reading this.
