Ya I think that the fact they red-shirted him speaks to how talented he was, not the opposite. Cameron is now in the NFL and Hawkins was very good when playing and we were paying him quite a bit to stay, so it would have been a waste to burn Brown's redshirt year to be a backup. Aranda admitted they committed too much of their NIL resources to WR last year, so that was the strongest and deepest position group on the team by far.

You are correct. In addition, Wilson & Prentice had no remaining eligibility and were really solid in their roles too.

His willingness to wait a year is a good sign to me. Brown could end up being a breakout star.
