Find out who had big performances, who slumped, and what teams made a big move in the power rankings as Grayson Grundhoefer wraps up all the Big 12 action.

Baylor steamrolled UTSA 63-14

What went wrong? The Bears finally gave up a huge chunk play for a touchdown when running back Sincere McCormick went 54 yards to the house early in the 4th quarter.

What went right? A whole lot went right but lets focus in on the rushing attack. Baylor had 368 rushing yards on 39 carries which is a ridiculous 9.4 average. The Bears also had five rushing touchdowns in the game to complete the total domination up front.

Key Stats

*WR Denzel Mims had seven catches for 101 yards and three touchdowns in the first half.

*The Baylor defense had three sacks, five tackles for loss, and six quarterback hurries on the day while only allowing 266 total yards.

West Virginia got blitzed by Missouri 38-7

What went wrong? Nearly everything went wrong for the Mountaineers in this dreadful performance. They lost the turnover battle 3 to 0 and only had 171 total yards of offense.

What went right? West Virginia only had four penalties and were 7-of-16 on 3rd down.

Key Stats

*West Virginia is the worst rushing offense in the Power 5 right now and had 30 rushing yards on 32 carries in this one.

*QB Austin Kendall was 15-of-25 for 137 yards and a touchdown to go along with two interceptions.

Kansas State rolled over Bowling Green 52-0

What went wrong? Very little, another week another blowout for the Wildcats. This was a dominating performance but they only had 188 passing yards so I am still not sure if I buy the passing attack quite yet.

What went right? Who needs a passing attack when you are running for 333 yards and controlling the time of possession 43 to 17 minutes. The Wildcats also had 521 yards of total offense.

Key Stats

*The Wildcats only gave up 140 total yards of offense.

*Kansas State was up 38-0 at half and quarterback Skylar Thompson had a QBR of 99.1.

Kansas fell in a thriller to Coastal Carolina 12-7

What went wrong? Kansas lost the turnover battle 2-0, got out-gained 291-280 yards, and lost the time of possession 34 to 25 minutes.

What went right? The Jayhawks held Coastal Carolina to 1-of-9 on 3rd down, only gave up 3.5 yards per carry, and only 119 yards passing.

Key Stats

*RB Pooka Williams’ first game back he had 22 carries for 99 yards.

*QB Carter Stanley was terrible, he finished 13-of-19 for 107 yards and two interceptions.

Oklahoma smashed South Dakota 70-14

What went wrong? This game was 49-0 at one point and was utter domination so not a whole lot went wrong. South Dakota had 348 total yards but most of that was in garbage time. If there was one negative the 12 penalties for 96 yards was it.

What went right? This was a great performance. The Sooners won the turnover battle 3-0, won the time of possession 33-26 minutes, and had 733 total yards of offense.

Key Stats

*The Sooners were 7-of-10 on 3rd-down conversions and held South Dakota to 1-of-11 on 3rd-down.

*The Sooners played three quarterbacks in this one and they all had a QBR over 95.6. Jalen Hurts (14/18 for 259 yards and three touchdowns), Tanner Mordecai (6/8 for 114 yards and two touchdowns), and Spencer Rattler (4/4 for 50 yards and one touchdown).

Oklahoma State cruised over McNeese 56-14

What went wrong? Two turnovers and giving up 318 yards of total offense are the only things that you can point to but this was a rout from start to finish.

What went right? A lot of things went well for the Pokes but specifically the Sanders to Wallace connection. Wallace finished with five catches for 180 yards and three touchdowns as he continues to help the young quarterback excel.

Key Stats

*Oklahoma State was 11-of-16 on 3rd down.

*The Cowboys averaged 12.9 yards per pass which is getting close to Oklahoma type numbers.

Texas Tech beat their West Texas rival UTEP 38-3

What went wrong? Once again little went wrong for the Red Raiders but they did lose the turnover battle 1 to 0.

What went right? The defense was tremendous again as they only gave up 131 yards, 2.8 yards per pass, and 2.0 yards per rush.

Key Stats

*The Red Raiders had three sacks, seven tackles for loss, and seven quarterback hurries. They were getting after the quarterback.

*Star WR TJ Vasher has six catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns after a disappointing week one.

Texas loss a heartbreaker to LSU 45-38

What went wrong? The pass defense was terrible in this game for a variety of reasons but it was crazy how much single coverage they were playing even after getting burnt multiple times. LSU racked up 471 yards passing and three receivers had over 120 yards. The UT offensive line also gave up five sacks and three quarterback hurries which was not helpful.

What went right? Sam Ehlingher was terrific as he finished 31-of-47 for 401 yards and four touchdowns to go along with 60 yards and another touchdown on the ground. It was the best performance of his career and he proved once again that he can be more than just a running quarterback.

Key Stats

*Texas had 121 rushing yards on 37 carries (3.3 average)

*LSU QB Joe Burrow was 31-of-39 for 471 yards and four touchdowns.

Iowa State and TCU were on BYE

Power Rankings

1. Oklahoma - The offense continues to move right along and they remain at the top after another dominant week.

2. Texas - The Longhorns don’t get punished for facing a top 10 team this week since the rest of the conference played cupcakes but if they don’t clobber Rice they could move down.

3. Baylor - Another dominant performance on both sides of the ball by the Bears keep them here.

4. Oklahoma State - The Oregon State win does not look very impressive at this point but they put on a nice show this week. They are much closer to three than five in these rankings.

5. Iowa State - Not ready to move the Cyclones down based on the week one performance and the bye week. They have a chance to move into the top three if they knock of a top 20 Iowa team this week.

6. Kansas State - The Wildcats move up the list after two straight dominating performances and a rushing attack that looks very potent. We will know a lot about the Wildcats this week after they face Mississippi State.

7. TCU - The Horned Frogs won their first game 39-7 against Arkansas Pine Bluff. Last year Arkansas Pine Bluff lost to South Dakota State 90-6 so needless to say I am not impressed yet. They take on Purdue this week on the road.

8. Texas Tech - The Red Raiders are beating teams with ease and they are much closer to seven than nine in the rankings. They take on Arizona this weekend which gives them a chance to move up.

9. West Virginia - The Mountaineers can’t run the ball (0.9 yards per carry) and got hammered by Missouri 38-7 a week after Missouri lost to Wyoming.

10. Kansas - Another year and another potential last place finish. Losing to Coastal Carolina is not going to help the Jayhawks get out of last place.

Dang, OU's top two QBs averaged over 14 YPA and QB3 averaged over 12. Looks like they won't miss a beat if Hurts goes down.

Of coarse, we won't either it seems. Sure is a nice feeling to know we have a back up who can step in and take the reigns if/when we need him.

"The Longhorns don't get punished for facing a top 10 team this week since the rest of the conference played cupcakes but if they don't clobber Rice they could move down."

If UT doesn't clobber Rice, then Rice will have improved exponentially over this week.

The Red Raiders are overtaking groups easily and they are a lot nearer to seven than nine in the rankings. They take on Arizona this end of the week visit site note that each paper test in our data set doesn't give an assessment, which is the main thing that should be kept away from when you execute useful composition. Go ahead and check our paper tests to learn. which allows them an opportunity to climb.
