He will be general manager of football operations at Baylor as per footballscoop. His title was Associate AD for football personnel at A&M.

Nice. He was a stud at LSU. Can't blame him for leaving aggy for a better opportunity.

Make sure he doesn't speed out of College Station on the way out.

He can do so, as long as he slows down through Hearne and Calvert.

Time will tell of course, but as someone who has followed LSU pretty closely for 20 years, it's really hard for me to describe how much I think we have upgraded our football program since the Sugar Bowl.

Well done Mack and CDA!!!

I'm getting that sense as well. While we put $$ into the program to win big under Briles and Rhule and did. We now seem to be making strategic expenditures similar to what blue bloods do to really go past where we have gone under Briles and Rhule

Agree. I'm so optimistic about our long term future.

All of these hires seem to indicate that Coach plans on being here a while.

Watching Aranda's hires ... I"m getting excited.

I think we are upgrading ... significantly.

That OC hire is going to be a big one. Frankly, I think Jorge had the chops to be the OC, probably moreso than the guys we have now had when they were hired. I want to see the OC, and I want to see who will be our OL coach. Keeping Bell can help internally and with the Texas networking, but he does not need to keep coaching the OL.

I agree. I like that we kept McGuire, Bell, and Wetzel.

People need to accept we have some incredible strategic advantages, we just need a leader that wants to take advantage of them.

And Riesel, but that may have dissipated somewhat after the police chief was hit in the wreck last homecoming.

I need to find a more reliable gas station in that town. that combo car wash place is pretty dirty.

I don't want to like Buc-ees, but damn does it beat that.
