Baylor’s recruiting surge continued Saturday when another highly-sought-after prospect from the class of 2021 committed to the Bears.

Receiver Hal Presley‍ —‍ a 6-foot-3, 190-pound standout at Summit High School in Mansfield—entertained offers from Auburn, Michigan, Texas, Michigan State, USC, Ole Miss, TCU and a host of others before pledging to Baylor Saturday afternoon.

Presley becomes the 14th player to join Baylor’s 2021 recruiting class, and the third in the last week. Humble Summer Creek receiver/athlete Elijah Bean‍ committed to Baylor Friday and Duncanville’s Roderick Daniels‍ , who is also a receiver, announced his intentions Sunday.

Baylor has now received five commitments since May 1 and 10 since the beginning of April.

2021 BAYLOR FOOTBALL RECRUITING CLASS

Presley turned heads as a junior at Mansfield Summit, hauling in 45 passes for 874 yards and eight touchdowns while leading his squad to the Class 6A Division II playoffs. For his efforts he earned first-team all-league honors in District 7-6A.

Welcome Hal!

That's a pretty nice list of offers that Aranda and staff won out over.

For all the *****ing about the gold uniforms, the players love them. I love them too. We are 1 win and 0 loss wearing them.

Any uniform combo, that the Bears beat the crap out of UT in, is alright by me!!!

Damn. We're gonna have a whole team of wide receivers. Anyone who thought Aranda wants Fedora to run more of a Wisky offense, you apparently have nothing to worry about. Another great pickup from a staff that's on a roll!

Nobody paying attention to who he was bringing on staff wise thought that.

Who had the thought about the Wisky offense? Wasn't aware of that concern.

When we hired Aranda there were a few comments (not a lot) worrying about him being head coach for the first time and wondering if he would lean more toward the Wisky offense than the LSU offense. Obviously his hiring of Fedora should have put that to rest since he's never run anything even remotely similar to the Wisky offense, but if those people still had any questions I was simply clarifying that these WR's that we're signing are pretty good evidence of what kind of offense we're gonna see over the next few years.

BUbacker, looked at the highlight film of Presley. He's far better than the guy at Summit throwing the ball to him. There were numerous balls thrown short and some were just in the area. Hal went out and got them and made the plays a lesser and shorter WR would have trouble making. Not saying the QB is a dog by any means, but he's not in Presley's class at all.

He also grabbed Burrow's bestie QB coach, so grabbing Fedora wasn't the only sign as to what Aranda wanted offense wise. It was pretty apparent early on.

Larry Fedora is, and always has been, a great recruiter. Starting with Grant Teaff. Continuing with Chuck Reedy and throughout his entire career.

I'm starting to get excited about the upcoming season! We better have football. Don't know if I can take not having BU football to watch this year.

I realize Larry was not the lead recruiter, but he makes a great impression on all recruits when they come in for a visit. He's has always had that ability.

I would think this should fill our "quota" for WRs in this class. Hope the momentum spills over to other positions that have needs.
