The last team Baylor is scared of is Houston, y'all went 4-8 last year come on now

Stop. You were still probably going to lose even with multiple o-lineman out against a first year coach with no spring. The line move was on the premise of a game being played assuming we would just reach the threshold on the o-line. You still weren't favored after all of that.cougar king said:

Look at Baylor's staff as a whole, WAY better then Drunkard Dana assembled. Also from a talent perspective it's not close... not at all
First time head coach, no spring practice and lost 9 starters o defense.
Vs
Veteran head coach, 19 returning starters and more than 35 players redshirted. It's not rocket science

So our AD went through all the motions of scrambling to make this game happen....but then the program got scared the day before kickoff. That sounds rational.cougar king said:

Your own QB bailed on you. Just up and quit 4 games in. Voted with his feet and walked away from his teammates. With tail between legs. The team leader. Said "seeya." Mid. SEASON.cougar king said:IowaBear said:cougar king said:

Right. It probably was the Raider Rash or claps if Coogs were in town.cougar king said:

you are certainly assuming a lot. We aren't afraid of Houston. I can certainly tell you people haven't changed much since the SW Conference years.cougar king said:IowaBear said:cougar king said:

Louisiana Tech had about 38 players out last week with Covid and cancelled against Baylor. Looks like they are all in tip top shape to head to Southern Miss tomorrow.cougar king said:

Rhodes just confirmed that Baylor coulda still played the game but decided at the last minute not to go through with it using the Big 12 clause.
What's the point of scheduling the game if you were gonna duck and dodge in the end like yall have been doing since 1996?

And also, in pure fear, kept the other 2 games they agreed to in the future.Dia del DougO said:
Sure, Baylor scheduled a last-minute game down to the wire, and then realized in their haste they had made a huge mistake, then quaking in fear, found an excuse to cancel their game against mighty Coog High.
Seems legit.
There are legal issues: authorities are not allowed to reveal private information they might have on someone--such as health records.Aliceinbubbleland said:

A lot of waffling here. Not sure I understand why coach wouldn't discuss specifics.

They were playing the long game. Baylor was actually able to get the SEC to not play OOC games (bye Ole Miss) & then caused Hurricane Laura (hell, if George W. Bush can cause a hurricane, I am sure Mack Rhoades can too) AND gave 38 opposing players corona (bye LA Tech). Then they scheduled a game a week before, causing the coaches to scramble to prepare for another opponent, all so that they could pull the rug out from under coog high at the last minute. Yep, I bet thats how it went down.
