Positive PR - During it's run, Fixer Upper averaged 3m viewers per episode which is about 3x a Baylor vs Tech football game. And, viewers saw tons of Baylor on hats, shirts, campus shots, Chip and Jo at Baylor games, personal references, people who worked at Baylor having their house redone, etc.
Hiring - Magnolia is loaded with Baylor employees, interns, and designers. During the show, several references were made to designers who were going to school at Baylor. My company installed and supports Magnolia's Netsuite ERP system and everyone we talk to has Baylor somewhere on their LinkedIn.
Donations - I have no idea. But, I cannot imagine that any $ donation they made does more for Baylor than the positive PR and hiring opportunities.
