He still has eligibility? The idea he could play quarterback at the D1 level for six straight years is nuts, but I'm sure he's better than someone's QB1 out there. There are like 130 teams in this sport.

My hope is that kid will hang it up and move on.

He's already made himself look like a spoiled brat by quitting on Utah which tarnished a fabulous reputation he built while at BU.

The optics of this whole thing are not good and no HC with an intact mental state will touch him with a ten foot pole.

I don't understand either. Even given last season was a mulligan year, this should be his fourth and final year of eligibility, shouldn't it?

By only playing a game and a half perhaps that paused his eligibility for this year. Maybe however many games he played if I'm wrong about the game and a half, he left the Utah team early enough to not lose eligibility this season. Also what Tommie said could be the realistic outcome.

Agreed. I can't fault the guy for wanting to play, but with his concussion history and his slim chance of going to the NFL it's not worth it. It's hard to give up something you've done your whole life though so I get it. Wish the best for him.

I think people care about his long term health. You can't seriously believe it's in his best interest to keep playing. Dudes had what 4 concussions? At some point you gotta know when to hang it up

He has doctors. If they've cleared him to play, he should trust them and not worry about what the internet thinks.

What the hell are you talking about? You're the one claiming to know more than the doctors who have examined and cleared Charlie about his current and long-term health.

All I've said is that he should trust the folks who went to medical school with his medical decisions.
