When I read the story it brought back some funny memories. LSU fans hated Ole Miss and Archie. In 1970 Archie played LSU with his arm in a cast.

Nevertheless when the Saints drafted Archie in 1971 the headline on the Times Picayune was "Archies A Saint" lol and all was forgiven.

That said his wife was an Ole Miss cheerleader and they guided Payton to Tennessee and Eli to Ole Miss avoiding LSU.

Hoping he goes anywhere but UT. I didn't know that was high on his list.

Have we even offered or shown interest? That is what I liked about the Briles once it took off was we didnt just assume we didnt have a chance. We would interject ourselves into the situation and offer. The worst that could happen is the kid politely tells them no.

That's true.

I was speaking not only about their current roster, but about their recent history. Up until last season they only had one playing in the NFL - Connor Williams, who can't seem to go a game without a penalty.

Their o line has been sub par for a while.
