Well he benched Darnold today, four days after basically saying he's their starter for the future.

He needs Christian McCaffrey back, three wins came when Run CMC was playing.

Four losses in a row with only one of the losses being to a team with a winning record.

His 3 wins included wins over the Jets and Texans. Not a great resume so far this season. Obviously, missing CMC is huge.

It took him three years at Baylor and Temple to really get things going. Unless it gets really ugly I would think he gets one more year.

For all we know he is currently seeking the LSU and USC jobs. But if Rhule stays in the NFL, I think he is the type who would be a journeyman HC in the league until he wins or until NFL owners decide to not give him more opportunities. As I said it seems coaches get about 3 chances in the NFL before their HC career there is over or out in a long pause.

Rhule threw several people under the bus in his postgame today, including his QB and some key assistants. Some of it is implicit, not explicit, but I don't know when I've heard anything like that. Rhule's is in North Carolina and the echoes of the famous quote of Galatians 6:7 KJV by old craggy voiced North Carolina Senator Sam Ervin at the Watergate trials is echoing in the distance: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

Rhule at LSU would be a weird fit

But then again so was Saban, and that worked

And Rhule is the exact opposite of Orgeron, which is how some people make hires

Could use his discipline and program making in an environment full of raw talent

But is he willing to admit NFL failure this quickly?

And would he really go live and stay in Baton Rouge? (that last question doesn't really matter if he just wants a new port)

Maybe his career is turn around specialist and he never stays anywhere very long

I suspect Kiffin is LSU's top target absent LSU being willing to pay for making Fisher happen.

Snow has been the MVP coach for Carolina. Brady has done well with what is available, I mean no Burrow, Jefferson, Chase, Marshall, or great o-line. I think Tepper let's Rhule have at least one more year. He hired him with a long leash and a massive contract.

Matt really only needs another 15 months and he should have enough to retire comfortably.
