Baylor (18-14), missing the NCAA tournament for the first time since the 2012-2013 season, has been selected to play in the 2018 National Invitation Tournament as one of the top four seeds and will matchup with Wagner (23-9) in the first round.
The tournament begins the evening of Tuesday, March 13.

As one of the top four seeds, the Bears will be eligible to host all contest leading up to the semi-finals and finals at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The trip to the NIT tournament will be Baylor's third since 2009 and fifth overall. The Bears defeated Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Auburn and San Diego State before losing to Penn State in the 2009 finals. In 2013 the Bears defeated Long Beach State, Arizona State, Providence, BYU and Iowa on their way to winning the tournament championship.
According to the NCAA tournament bracket released by TBS, the Bears were one of the first four teams to not make the 68-team field along with Notre Dame, Saint Mary's and Southern California.
