So are the numbers posted on these threads synonymous with the player listed or are they the cumulative totals for all players who played the position during that respective year?

Should include the team record during that time. turnovers and average playing minutes if you want to draw a conclusion to guard play and impact.

TurnOvers and/or TimeOuts both crucial.

In the above list of PG's there's some rather decent players in that list. But who could forget A J Walton. That was rather tough to watch at times. And the stat sheet shows why.

It is a fair range of stats for a decade comparison. Assists and TOs also depend a lot on who is playing with you. For example, CJ has a lot of TOs that couild have been assists with Udoh and Motley at Center. Specificaly when Drew would have Lomers screening high then crashing to the boards. Was it CJ or Dugats fault for being deep in the lane and not finishing then kicking it back to Lomers rushing in at the elbow. Or was it Lomers fault for the losing the ball or walking? A little of both I think. W-L record - at some point we put out more effort on defense which affected our output on offense.

Ashley will tell you what his point is in the series. To me it is to set realistic expectations for the coming season.

I expect:
Chery like numbers at PG
Freeman/Heslip at SG
Prince at W/SF
Jefferson at PF
2017 Acuil production at F/C

Increased bench production at the 3 and 4 spots.

I really miss a lot of those guys. Especially PJ.

Had forgotten about Walton at the charity stripe..thats a brutal percentage for a point guard.

This is why we are probably still a couple of years away from being really, really good again.

We lack a true PG right now outside of Makai Mason, and Mason is still nursing some lingering injuries.

So, someone is going to have to step it up this season in the same way Cherry did a couple of years ago.
