We don't have all our personnel yet but that didn't look like a team that would finish 9th if mason can go allyear

I guess they figure he can't?

Because we haven't really played anyone other than SWAC and Southland conference teams that the other 9 Big 12 teams would have all clocked as much or even more than we did? Revisit this next weekend if we run into UC. That will be the first game against a team that could compete in the Big 12.

In one of the post-game press conferences, I think Drew said Baylor is returning the fewest lettermen out of all the P5 schools. It's a much different team with freshmen and transfers. The "experts" and fans won't have any idea of how good or bad Baylor will be until the full roster plays through the non-conference schedule. The low projection is fair for now. Enjoy the ride.

The great thing about basketball is you play your way in.

This is an odd year, so far. We lost to a SWAC team. Villinova lost to Furman (look for them to crack the top 25 next week). OSU lost to Charlotte? WVU to Buffalo?

Yep. Conferences don't mean s--- in basketball.

It's a tournament sport, just like soccer.

Want to piss off the Big12 power brokers? Build a great basketball program and play marquee non-conf matchups and tournaments.

We've had a "young " team for how many years?

In terms of age, this is not a young team, but rather, a very mature team. But it is a fair assessment to say that so many new faces makes them a young team as far as their collective experience is concerned. Our first game loss can be attributed to having arguably our two top players out and rotating so many new faces in and out of the lineup. We never developed much cohesiveness, and losing a double digit lead on our home floor as we did was a clear indication of a lack of maturity as a team.

We do have three frosh players, all fine prospects, who are getting their share of minutes, so that gives the appearance of being younger than we actually are.
