The most significant competition would be the Celtics.

If Jordan had not tried to play baseball, it might be the Bulls. What they accomplished was impressive given the much broader level of parity in sports by the time. UCLA didn't have to play in a 64 game tourney or with the most significant scholarship limits. Boston was a dominant team before the pro leagues started forcing parity at the level they now do.

If we're defining dynasty by conference titles in a row then we're gonna have a lot of dynasties going on. Weakens the word dynasty itself. Their are very few dynasties period starting with UCLA and the Celtics
