Per Raoul: Kari Niblack (6-1 SR forward, Leesburg, FL) has entered her name into the portal, out of West Virginia WBB; 7.6 PPG & 4.0 RPG + 45 blocks in 2021-22; 1,000+ points, nearly 700 rebounds, and nearly 200 blocks in her four years at WVU
Unless there is some known baggage, I would, but I don't know nothing about what is out there. There might be a plan A that is better.lookin4awin said:
Big 12 Honorable Mention-Strong Player. Think we will consider?

She is a good player, potentially even better when surrounded by a good team.
Her kryptonite has always been foul trouble - In CNC's system she would not be that exposed to fouling situations. She reminds me of Cox in way - a real fire in her belly - Her and Caitlin together - HMMMMM. Business major so ...BU business School might be very attractive to her.Dr. J said:
Not sure what we gain with her. Not impressive stats this season especially with their leading scorer out for most of the year.
I would curb my excitement for a little bit as there will be other transfers that appear in the portal after NCAAs are over.
I always liked him.....except when he would beat us -woodsa75 said:
Just saw on Twitter that Coach Carey st WVU is retiring after 21 years. Probably why she is in the portal

In her last game in the B12 tournament quarter finals she sat the entire game. Even the announcers wondered what was up. She never entered the game even when her team was within 2 possessions of catching Iowa St in the final minutes. Something was off.

Niblack is an undersized post who (1) has serious issues scoring more than 5 feet away from the bucket and (2) has a history of emotional outbursts.
Hard pass.
A "history of emotional outbursts", an interesting comment.Adriacus Peratuun said:

Well, you can't recruit players from another team that aren't in the TP, that is unethical. And you can't sniff at every first name that comes out because you only have so many scholarships spots. The reason we have a short bench this year is due to the timing of the coaching transition. What is needed will be replacements for a 6'4" all-American and 6'4" post player (Queen) should she re-affirm she is not coming back next year. Niblick fits neither of those positions so, you don't have to jump on her right away.74Bear said:
Some only think they understand recruiting. You can NOT just sit and wait until all come out. The majority will be taken and you will be left to live or die by the final few. And, very possibly wind up with a short bench like this year. Get a couple as they start coming out, get a couple later.

Not a great idea to grab bodies simply to have bodies. This year for Baylor WBB is a great example of how one malcontent can poison the atmosphere.74Bear said:

Not every player need be a star, but every player has to be given a playing time/role projection and buy into that projection. Unhappiness is contagious.
