11 total as of now not counting the walk on (not sure whether she is returning)

5 players returning from last year
3 incoming freshmen
1 Juco transfer
2 from the transfer portal, and maybe more to follow

Are we getting more transfers tonight? I'm not sure if I need to stay up or not.

Blackwell would be nice but where is a BIG. Cannot win without a rim protector.

It would, indeed, be great to have a transfer post, and perhaps there is one on the way. More importantly, we need players with talent (Captain Obvious comment) and some years some things don't roll your way (recruiting specific positions). Getting Kentucky and Stanford transfers is a great start so let's see what else happens.

Read on rebkell where someone not only thinks we get Blackwell but also we get Reese. No idea what they base that on but we'd take it.

Certainly have gotten some very nice portal pickups. It will be exciting to see the identity of Coach Collen's team when she has players who fit her scheme and time to work with them. Football and both basketball teams appear to be working hard to build on past momentum.

From the Baylor announcement when she signed:

Catarina Ferreira | G | 6-1 | Sao Paulo, Brazil | Eastern Arizona College

Rounding out the class is Catarina Ferreira, a 6-foot-1 guard out of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She's in her second season at Eastern Arizona College where she's coming off a freshman campaign where she put up 13.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists off 40.2 percent shooting from the floor en route to second-team NJCAA All-American honors. Ferreira is currently the No. 2 JUCO player in the country by World Exposure Report.

"Catarina's a shooting guard," Collen said. "She's really long and can score at all three levels. She's explosive off the bounce. She also defends at a high level with her length and athleticism."
