I interpreted it as mental gymnastics regarding flight cost & driving distance differences between choosing Tampa & choosing Miami/Fort Lauderdale.

Hint: never choose Fort Lauderdale. Prettier drive from Tampa and faster than from Miami.

When I stated "WBB event", I was referring to the Gulf Coast Showcase event.
I will go back and edit my post to state Gulf Coast Showcase instead of WBB event.
I am not talking about Cancun.

As far down the peninsula as it is, it should be warm, but I am no weather expert. We've been to Cape San Blas in the FL panhandle many times in January and temps are in the 60s. I'm packing a hoodie as insurance.

1. The Gulf Coast Showcase website has incorrectly listed the date as 2022.
2. The correct date for the schools listed on the Gulf Coast Showcase website should be 2021.
3. If you check the Iowa State WBB website schedule, the schools played by Iowa State for 2021 are
a. Nov 26, 2021 Iowa State 75 vs Charlotte 59 Estero FL
b. Nov 27, 2021 Iowa State 93 vs Penn State 59 Estero FL
c. Nov 28, 2021 Iowa State 75 vs UMass 71 Estero FL
All these schools listed on the Gulf Coast Showcase website were 2021 participants
4. At this time, our texting group has not seen a press release for 2022 Gulf Coast Showcase.

To no one in particular: When you hyphenate - ie, end-of-season - it becomes an adjective and needs a noun to follow.. When in doubt, leave it out. Trust me on this.

I posted the Baylor participation in the 2022 Gulf Coast Showcase because I am often asked to publish away events as soon as possible. Like many families, I have to submit my 2022 summer vacation & holiday schedules by the Friday before Memorial Day. Work coverage for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays can be quite the competition
