Feb 3, 2020"Oklahoma's Taylor Robertson and TCU's Lauren Heard shared Big 12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week, while K-State's Ayoka Lee collected a league-record eighth Freshman of the Week honor
Heard averaged 21.5 points and 10.0 rebounds, as the Horned Frogs picked up wins at Oklahoma State and against K-State. Heard led TCU to the road win at OSU on Wednesday, scoring 25 points with a 14-of-15 effort from the free throw line. She totaled 18 points and a season-high 12 rebounds in the win over K-State, collecting her third double-double of the season.
Robertson boasted 21.0 points and shot 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from the field in contests against Texas and Kansas last week. She scored 25 second half points, as OU collected an overtime win at Kansas. Robertson finished the day matching a career-high 31 points on 7-for-12 shooting (58.3%) for her third 30-plus point performance this season. She connected on a trio of three-pointers and finished with 11 points in the contest against Texas. Robertson previously won Player of the Week on December 2.
Lee registered a pair of double-doubles and averaged 14.0 points on a .522 field goal percentage (12-of-23), 12.0 rebounds, 5.0 blocks, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals in contests against Kansas and TCU. At Kansas, Lee tallied 17 points on 8-of-15 (53.3%) shooting with 12 rebounds, five blocks, two assists and two steals. Lee notched 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting, 12 rebounds, five blocks and two assists in the game at TCU. Lee has six games this season with five or more blocks, which is tied for third in program history for career five-block games.
Lee is the first player since the Freshman of the Week award began in 2009 to win the honor eight or more times in a season."
