DeSoto has 7 Sophs that played on the Varsity as Freshman, one 6'3" and two 6'4". They lost in the 6A State Finals last season in a close game. Their Head Coach is Andrea Robinson, who also was the Head Coach at Ft Worth Dunbar. She won two 5A State Championships at Dunbar, her best player was Brooklyn Pope. She has also been Head Coach at Cedar Hill, did a better job with Joyner Holmes than Karen. She stayed in the Post and didn't float out to the three point line. A nice resume.

DeSoto's team came to Waco twice last season to watch the Lady Bears. Kim is well aware of the talent now at DeSoto
