Looks like we might have another slim class for 2021 (not that its a bad thing). Outside of Maryam Dauda the only player left from 2021 class that is still considering Baylor is Kiki Iriafen.

Does anybody have knowledge of any possible commits or extended offers?

Baylor has shown interest in Jillian Hollingshead, a 6-5 forward from Georgia, but she is a very similar player to Dauda, a long, athletic stretch forward.

She keeps her recruitment very quiet, and also said she will not sign until the spring though.

there is some nice video of Maryam on the Missouri Phenom twitter if someone can post it. She looks really good! A good passer and not a black hole, nice shot around the rim, and vertical. Appears to have good quick feet. I think she was made for the Dream Shake! Wish she could get some tutoring from Olajuwon...

Kim's new strategy might be to sign only 1-2 highly desired HS players each year then supplement with transfers. Why bother bringing in HS players who need 3-4 years of development when you can wait and pick off developed players from other programs?

2019, 2020 & 2021 have proven to be REALLY shallow classes in terms of high quality recruiting depth [especially in geographic areas that Baylor recruits heavily]. Why sign a player who is likely to be "jumped over" by a freshman 2 years behind them? Save the scholarships. Make it clear to the Uber-deep 2022 & 2023 recruiting classes that playing time is available. Grab transfers on an "as needed" basis.

South Carolina proved last year that targeted recruiting works. Baylor has plenty of depth this year. The depth will be better in the post next year. With 1 transfer, the depth on the perimeter won't drop. And Baylor is set to take big classes in 2022 & 2023 [great depth of top talent, loaded in geographic areas Baylor targets] and promise a solid pathway to playing time.

FYI, Sammie Wagner is emerging as a HUGE recruiting Pied Piper. She is working hard to land other top players at Baylor.

FYI, predicting it now....

2022 Class: Baylor signs at least 2 Top Ten players plus 2 more Top 25 players.

2023 Class: Baylor signs at least 3 Top Ten players plus 2 more Top 25 players.

Bonus Points: Baylor signs a Top 5 transfer [one of five best players available] each of next 3 years.

That would be incredible and would make several more championships possible putting our program in the UConn and Tennessee territory for championships if we won at least 2 more. It may also be probably even more impressive since we.would have won multiple championships during the era of increasingly talented wbb players and a broadening base of competitive wbb teams to compete against.

... pick off developed players... Actually they seemed eager to come. And they did get some development at BU.

do not know but will take some very optimistic-hopeful guesses:

2022: 2 top 10: Betts and Patterson or Barker
2 top 25: Ashlon, SaMyah,

2023: 3 top 10: Sammie, Chloe or Jada , would love Aalayah but not sure she would come if LB is here
2 top 25: Maddie (may be top 10.by then), Malaysia F

Think Rylee Grays may be heading to UT and if we miss on the PGs above, maybe Dalanna Carter

We get close to this and there are many happy times ahead and possibly a few more NC banners to hang.
