You know I generally enjoy reading your posts and you do seem to have good basketball knowledge at times, and I definitely appreciate that. Thank you! Thank you, so much! I sincerely appreciate your posting this. Seems it's not allowed to appreciate what Kim did for the program and have skepticism about some of the narrative surrounding her departure without being labeled a cultist or an apologist. Screw that. I can understand she's gone, I can believe our program will move on and I can support our new coach, AND I can believe there are those who cannot be objective about our previous coach because they had their own agendas which influence their perspectives. Doesn't make them bad people, but being a bully do those of us who think critically for ourselves despite labels being shoved on us diminishes their position. I haven't had the courage or will to post that. I appreciate your doing it!

Ursin wants to go to nursing school [not practical at Baylor], blame Collen
Dauda prefers to go with coaches she knows, blame Collen
Gusters prefers to stay with HC with who she signed, blame Collen
Baylor names Court after donor making large naming donation [standard stuff], blame Baylor
Former Assistants consider all of their job options, blame Collen

The Mulkeyists have not toned down their rhetoric and nonsense. Rather, they incessantly badmouth the new staff for items outside their control. They blame Baylor for doing what almost every school would do in the same circumstances. And they lionize Mulkey every step of the way steadfastly while refusing to acknowledge her sizable part in the divorce, ignoring her crazy demands [or as they say "requests"], and assigning blame to everyone else.

Why does that behavior deserve a free pass? Some people "moved on" and are supporting the new staff but others are doing everything they can to spread their negativity and undermine the new staff. The new staff deserves better. True Baylor fans should be calling out the cancer.

There is a fundamental difference in holding Mulkey responsible for things she said, things she did, and situations she created......and attacking Collen for things she didn't do, situations she didn't create, and people she cannot control. Think people see the difference.

The answer is simple......the Mulkey Loyalists need to stop incessantly attacking the new staff.

If I am guilty of vocally standing up for the new staff and against the former fans attacking them, I can easily live with that guilt.

How is you openly attacking Kim's personality or questioning whether she's an elite coach standing up for the new staff? I'm sure you've openly stood up for the new staff (good for you) you've also thrown shot after shot at Kim regarding stuff that had absolutely nothing to do with the new staff. Most on here who love Mulkey like myself have moved on. I'm ready to see what the new staff can do while also appreciating everything Kim did for BU.

Looks to me like a couple of "true Baylor Fans" did call out the cancer and it looks to me like it is you that is the cancer. It seems like many from the premium board come on here and think they are better than everybody and want to tell us all how we should think. It is OK to have a different opinion than you and still be a "True Baylor Fan". Part of that fandom includes having high expectations for the team that you love and support. Baylor WBB is on of the top if not the top NCAA WBB programs. Expecting better does not mean that I will not support any of the coaches and I will still keep my season tickets. If that makes me a cancer then I guess everyone is a cancer.

She wasn't "forced out".

We need to revisit this thread in 3 years and evaluate the opposing comments at that time. Lots of posters opinions will be vindicated one way or the other.

The notion that Mulkey was forced out is nonsense. She would have been making the same salary, there was no decrease in staff support that has been reported, there is a new basketball fieldhouse on the way, and so on. So she didn't get along with Mack...? Ok, this happens all the time in any workplace. So what? She decided to leave within a few weeks of the men's first natty. A horrible look for her. I wish her well except if and when she plays BU. I'm sorry that we missed out on Dauda, but she's one player. Let's see how the new staff develops talent and recruits.
