So, slightly under the radar, and worth talking about a little bit, is the fact that the NCAA will put the new 3-point line into play for this 2021-2022 season. The old distance was 20'9" and the new distance is in line with WNBA and International play at 22' 2" (rounding error).

Who does it help? Who does it hurt?

Will help coaches like KM who want to pound it in the paint, will hurt coaches like Fennelly that want to Jack up threes.

Yep, I would think that every time you move 15 more inches away from the goal you would lower your shooting percentage somewhat.

Will also open driving lanes as defenses have to spread out more to defend outside shot and should make backside help defense a little harder to rotate over in time. Seems like that might suit our new offensive schemeā€¦.
