This truly is the season from hell. Thomas was one of the (very) few bright spots this year and was one of the best Friday night starters in the country. And who knows about Will Rigney, who had to leave the 20-1 debacle last weekend. Can we just fold it up now.

Baylor confirms that Tyler Thomas will have season-ending Tommy John surgery. Tough blow for Thomas, who had a great year going.

Terrible news. Hope Tyler makes a full recovery, sports medicine has come a long, long way and I believe he can still have a great career.

Why does it seem like it's virtually an annual thing that one or more of our key pitchers either can't go at all because of arm issues or they develop arm issues that cut their seasons short? This season has been especially nightmarish, but it's gotten to the point that you just expect it. I get it that everybody has issues with this kind of thing from time to time, but for us it just feels like it's never ending.
