First two batters are quick work for Hambleton but the third is able to run out the throw from third base for an infield single.

Texas State's DH rips a ball down the third base line for a single. Runners on first and second now.

Flyball to center field ends the inning.

Batte of the freshman for this one. Right hander, Tony Robie will be pitching for Texas State

Jared McKenzie pops up for the first out.

Ricky Martinez is able to single due to a wild throw from the third baseman.

Davion Downey singles but Ricky Martinez appears to have suffered a lower-body injury rounding second base.

Martinez walks off under his own power. Tre Richardson will be the pinch runner.

Wild pitch allows runners to advance to second and third. Still one out with Mack Mueller at the plate.

Mueller gets walked to load the bases. Hunter Seay now at the dish.

It's maddening. We looked so good this past weekend, and then crap the bed against not great teams. Now down 9-2....

Sic 'Em.

The pitching we put out there today are all arms that we would normally not use on the weekend. With that said, the txst pitcher we faced today had an era of 9.00 and we did nothing against him.

I wouldn't count Oliver out of any weekend plans. He isn't a mop up type pitcher

It's obviously really early in the season, but I hope this isn't going to be a "Jeckyll and Hyde" type team. So far we've looked fantastic sweeping 3 SEC teams in the Shriners' Hospital Tournament, but we've also lost a home series to Oral Roberts and gotten thoroughly smoked at home by Texas State. Lotta games to go, but we don't need to cancel out the big wins against quality competition by blowing multiple games to teams we should be beating - especially at home.

Agreed. Hopefully the guys will realize you cannot play down to anyone. And I think things would have been much better last night with Loftin in.

Don't forget we also have suspensions. That in mind, I think we are just an average team.
