WACO, Texas – Baylor baseball head coach Steve Rodriguez announced the addition of two newcomers to the 2022 roster on Thursday.

Kobe Andrade, a sophomore transfer LHP/OF from Texas A&M, and Max Miller, a freshman RHP from Carlsbad, Calif., will join the Bears for the upcoming spring season.

In 2021, Andrade made seven appearances out of the bullpen for the Aggies, posting a 6.75 ERA without a decision. The 6-foot lefty tallied three strikeouts in four innings in his true freshman campaign.

Previously, Andrade was a three-year letterwinner at Veterans Memorial High School in Corpus Christi, where he mustered a .533 batting average with 18 RBIs and eight stolen bases in his senior season. He was twice named a Corpus Christi Hooks Preseason All-Star in both 2019 and 2020.

Miller, a 6-3 right-hander, attended Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, Calif., before moving to Keller High School for his senior year. In 2021, he was named to both the Perfect Game Preseason All-American and All-Region Teams. The publication also ranks Miller as the 18th-best RHP in the state of California.
