If you like the odd and quirky in sports, mixed with traditional greatness, check out your favorite sports feed for today's Kentucky Derby.

The tease is . . . the winning horse had run in only 7 races, had won only once. Trained by some Oklahoma homers. Went off at over 80-1 odds (18th out of 20 entries). Biggest upset of a betting favorite by a last minute entry in Derby history.

Wager payouts were unbelievably skewed--almost as skewed and messed up as the Dale Earnhart, Jr. interview of two drunks, that supposedly all Millennials would recognize (but I'm too old to know). The "Riders Up" call was made thru either too much Kentucky bourbon or too much weed (and not of the Kentucky bluegrass kind)

Fun to watch. NBC will be offering apologies/explanations for the next 2 weeks for the strange production of their coverage of a strange, strange Derby.

(and our own Stranger from Ranger was there to take it all in).
