This weekend is the inaugural Athletics World Cup in London. Eight countries brought one athlete for 9 track and 8 field events for both men and women. It was on nbcsn for three hours today and two hours tomorrow.
Kiana Horton of BU ran the third leg for the USA and took the baton about even with Jamaica. She ran very well and handed off to Courtney Okolo a few meters ahead.
Okolo barely held off McPherson for gold. It was cool to see Kiana wearing the red, white and blue and draped with the flag. I don't she had ever run on a 3:24 relay squad.
