As far as going to Moscow multiple times, the suspect could easily say he enjoyed shopping/eating at the places in Moscow. It is only a 10mile difference, like driving between Frisco and Plano.

But the evidence on the night of the crime is more incriminating.

HOW PHONE RECORDS REVEALED BRYAN KOHBERGER'S 'STALKING'

August 21, 2022:
Bryan Kohberger's phone, ending in 8458 - was picked up by a cellphone tower providing coverage to the murder house - 1122 King Road, Moscow, Idaho.
He was in the vicinity of the victims' home between 10:34pm and 11:35pm that night.
Kohberger was picked up by a cellphone tower near the property at least 11 more times before the murders on November 13. Cops have yet to share further details of those subsequent visits.

November 13, 2022

2:42am:
Kohberger's 8458 phone was picked up by a cell tower near his home - 1630 Northeast Valley Road in Pullman, Washington.

2:47am:
Phone pinged again, indicating that it had begun to travel south through Pullman. Moments later, the phone stopped pinging, indicating that it had been put on airplane mode, turned off, or dropped off the network.

4:00-4:20am:
Maddie Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin were all knifed to death at 1122 King Road, Moscow.

4:48am:
Kohberger's phone pings network again on Idaho State Highway 95, south of Moscow.

4:50am-5:26am:
Phone pings show it traveling south on ID95 to Genessee, Idaho, them west towards Uniontown, Idaho, and back north into Pullman, Washington.

5:30am:
Kohberger's phone pings again at 1630 Northeast Valley Road, indicating that he'd arrived back home.

November 13
9:00am:
Kohberger's phone is on the move again, and travels back to the vicinity of the King Road murder house. It is picked up by a nearby cellphone tower between 9:12am and 9:21am.

9:32am:
Kohberger's phone indicates that he's arrived back home in Pullman again.

I've been to Moscow (but not to Pullman). U of I campus sits on the west end of town (toward Pullman), and Wazzu campus is on the east side of Pullman. State line is probably less than a mile west of Moscow.

A more appropriate analogy for folks around here would be if U of I was where First Baptist Woodway is and Wazzu was where Jim Turner Chevy is in McGregor.

Especially since the main road from Moscow to Pullman runs straight from #1 to #2.

Again to put it in local perspective, what he did would be like driving from McGregor to Woodway by going south on 317 to Belton then coming back on I-35.

An FBI surveillance team watched Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger take out the trash at his parent's house wearing surgical gloves at 4am before dumping it in a neighbor's bin.

New details of how the authorities snared the alleged quadruple murderer have been revealed, with officers watching the 28-year-old for four days before his arrest.

The officers were tasked with tracking Kohberger so they could arrest him as soon as a warrant was issued as well as trying to get hold of an object to compare DNA to a sample found at the scene.

University of Idaho student Xana Kernodle received a DoorDash delivery less than 20 minutes before she was stabbed to death inside her home, according to an arrest affidavit released Thursday.

The 20-year-old marketing major's final meal likely from Jack in the Box, as The Post's pictures taken inside the house show was dropped off by a driver at the house on King Road in Moscow at 4 a.m.,
according to the probable cause affidavit.

Kernodle was active on her phone at 4:12 a.m. but had been slaughtered alongside her boyfriend Ethan Chapin, 20, in her bedroom by 4:25, investigators said in the report.
Her roommates, Madison Mogen, 21, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, were murdered as they slept on a different floor.

After a seven-week manhunt, cops arrested Bryan Kohberger in connection with the crimes on Dec. 30. He was charged in an Idaho court Thursday but has yet to be arraigned. He has previously indicate through a lawyer he would plead not guilty.

Two weeks before the slayings of four University of Idaho students last November, the man now accused of killing them sent a series of messages to one of the victims on Instagram, an investigator familiar with the case tells PEOPLE.

In late October, an account that authorities believe belonged to Bryan Kohberger sent a greeting to one of the female victims, the source says. When he didn't get a reply, he sent several more messages to her.

"He slid into one of the girls' DMs several times but she didn't respond," the source tells PEOPLE. "Basically, it was just him saying, 'Hey, how are you?' But he did it again and again."

I'm not sure if true, but I read that his DNA was matched to the scene by the authorities using DNA from his relatives through a national database (think 23 and me, ancestry.com etc). While I'm glad they got him, one needs to remember that sending your genetic info to these places means your genetic code is no longer private or secure.
Highly unlikely it was from 23 and Me, or those sites. More than likely it was from www.gedmatch.com

They don't need any close relatives to make the match either, it could easily have been 5th or 6th cousins with small genetic matches then they build a family tree from there and eliminate people.

Idaho murders suspect Bryan Kohberger's DNA was found on knife sheath lying next to one of the victims' bodies: Cops stole trash from his family home to make 99% match - before swooping in to arrest him, case files reveal

Idaho police today released a trove of documents which lays out the early stages of their case against Bryan Kohberger.

Among the claims in the documents is that his DNA was found on a knife sheath that was left next to one of the bodies, and that he stalked the property by visiting 12 times before the night in question.
The knife sheath was tan, leather, US Marines sheath that was found next to the corpse of Maddie Mogen, according to the documents.

Kohberger's DNA was found on the snap button enclosure of the sheath, and was later positively identified to match him.

Cops obtained a sample of his DNA on December 27, when they stole trash from his family's house in Albrightsville, Pennsylvania.

That sample returned a 99.98 percent match with the sample found at the scene to Kohberger's father.
The 19-page affidavit also lays out how cops used surveillance camera footage from Kohberger's campus apartment in Washington State to track the movements of his white Hyundai Elantra on the night in question.

It also reveals that surviving roommate Dylan Mortensen was awake at the time of the killings - around 4.20am - and that she saw Kohberger in the house, wearing a black mask over his face.

Why wouldn't the surviving roommate call the police immediately after he left?
That is really strange. Why not call when she saw him?

Did they ever explain how he stabbed 4 separate people and after the first the other 3 heard nothing to wake up and flee?

And a roommate was in the house while 4 other people were individually stabbed to death?

Would assume loud screaming etc but I guess there's ways that wasn't the case.

No big surprise but the killer seems to have had an obsession with one of the girls .

Suspect the other victims were killed to eliminate possible witnesses to the first murder .

That's what's weird - he's not a seasoned killer (apparently) ... surprised he could kill four people including one guy. I thought the original story was the girls on the first floor slept through it, but now one of them saw him and decided not to call the cops for a long time? Why did he leave them alone?

Something does seem weird / not adding up.

The obsession is valid, but why leave anyone alive, including the dog?

News reporters talking with people who had lived at the place say the walls were thing; you could easily hear conversations in other rooms or on other floors.

Also, the guy was a big guy, not some Beto-scale dude who could easily be overpowered.

Y'all are making way too many assumptions, including attributing rationality to the (alleged) killer and ability to victims they may easily not have had.

Fair, but killers tend to follow patterns, but agreed all speculation.

Still need to understand why the roommate sees the killer, hears the scuffle, and does not bother to call the police? Something just seems odd with her.

If it is his first murder, it doesn't need to fit a rationale. The guy doesn't have a method, clearly did not think it through. Probably did it in a fit of rage after peeping around the house. Worked himself into a tizzy.

There were 2 victims on the 3rd floor (2 giirls). One of the girls had a dog that was not harmed

2 victims on the 2nd floor ( boyfriend and girlfriend)

And 2 girls on 1st floor who were not harmed

And there was a dog? That wasn't going ape *****

Sounds like when pelosis husband got hammered by his lover

Were they vaxxed? That's the most important thing
Seriously. If they had 10 boosters and wore 10 masks they would be INVINCIBLE!
Naw, just less likely to die or be hospitalized

Your rabid defense of the Covid vaccines is quite obsessive and over the top. Did Pfizer or the CDC pay you to post here?

It is clear now to anyone with a brain that they are ineffective at best. Dangerous at worst.

Glad he has been apprehended.

Was getting concerned the murderer was never going to be found .

I wasn't. It's almost impossible to NOT get caught today.

FYI almost 50% of murders go unsolved. Even then only 70% of murder cases end with a conviction.

So of 1,000 murders approx 500 go unsolved and about 350 actually end in conviction.

One can assume the defendant here is either a moron, an incredible narcissist (they'll never catch me!), or wanted to get caught. My bet is on narcissist because I think he's probably too bright to be this level of stupid.
