Fascism is really only one movement from the Fascia region of Italy. The people on the left are just neo Bolsheviks and many of their grandparents were actual Bolsheviiks - see Merrick Garland, Tony Blinken, Victoira Nuland etc.

But their concept of the State (nearly all powerful) and their view of Corporate power (its great if it works toward socially liberal-leftist ends)........all this is very much closer to actual traditional Fascism than anything the populist-conservatives believe
