Trump orders immediate arrests for flag burning with 1-year prison term | Fox News

Trump orders henchmen to arrest and imprison for one year anybody that burns an American flag. Either Trump doesnt know much about America or he is trying to prove he is on his way to becoming a dictator.

Enough of the dictator talk. Should Donald Trump refuse to leave office in January of 2029, I will be first in line at the White House with my torch and pitchfork in hand.
Call it a tax, the people are outraged! Call it a tariff, the people get out their checkbooks and wave their American flags!!!

No one seemed to notice when Harris 'won' the Democratic Party nomination without winning a single primary.

You won't vote for him again, even if he runs against a Democrat?

I even support Trump's right to display the flag during his speeches. If that's not desecration, I don't know what is.

A part of what the American Flag represents is the right of people, even idiots, to disagree. If the flag requires a law or Executive Order to protect it from pissants, it really ain't worth protecting.

That noted leftist extremist Antonin Scalia? He agrees with me.

Lots of conservatives agree with you on this, myself included. Burning ANY flag is a form of free speech.

This is of course assuming the person doing the burning came about the flag by legal means and no other laws are being broken such as blocking traffic, burn bans etc.

Express your point by any legal means you deem necessary

Dont be dumb. There was not time to hold primaries again. In many states, they had to be setup at a certain time to comply with the law. You should be grateful, because it handed Trump an easy win.

Sure. Because the Democrats had so many qualified and popular candidates who would have won in 2024.

Idiot

The individual who won every single Democratic Party primary was blatantly forced out of the general election by party bosses.

The voters were pushed aside.

It doesn't get any more flagrant than that.

Yes.

LOL so typical. No. He was not arrested/charged for the offense of burning a flag. From the article at your link:

"...Neither charge focuses on the fact that he burned a flag, specifically: one of the counts was for lighting a fire "not in a designated area and receptacle," and another was for lighting a fire "in a manner that threatened, caused damage to, and resulted in the burning of property, real property, and park resources...."

LOL cannot make this stuff up. effin' neverTrumpers literally make shyte up to suit whatever sentiments they desire to conjure in the moment.

The anti-democracy thing that had been going on was denying the inability of the president to lead due to failing health and mental capacity.

Nobody voted for an autopen except for democrats in leadership positions. Everything else was fallout including dimwit Harris not getting any primary votes

My favorite part of this thread was being told by a leftist that the duly elected Democrat candidate incumbent Joe Biden had to be replaced on the ticket without any voter involvement because they didn't have time to replace him after poor polling, you know, cuz democracy and stuff.

Keeping a dementia-ridden candidate on the ticket wasn't anti-democracy? How was it that Biden was supposed to have a chance? Not by any communication directly with the public. How was he supposed to do his job? He couldn't. The Democrat party wanted four more years of rule by non-elected bureaucrats.

100% disagree with Trump on this one. I think burning the flag is tacky and distasteful, and I think it makes you look like an ass, but I also think it is a form of political speech that must be allowed if we are serious about having free speech.

I don't think anyone, including Trump, believes this will stand under judicial scrutiny. I think he is trying to get democrats to start burning the flag more often.

Maybe, but there are other ways to get them to do that.

If the other side has gotten their nose way over their toes calling you anti free speech, no reason to give them a little bit of ammo.

What? Is your memory that bad?

He dropped out once he had a disastrous appearance and it started to become clear in polling he was going to lose badly. And he did not win a primary. He was an incumbent. The way you frame it is peak conspiracy nut.
