Fubar gets it. For the good of the country, proven false accusers need to face stiff consequences. And I don't care what side the accuser is on. Stuff like this can bring a republic down. Rule of law is lost when these things (and similar) are allowed to continue unchallenged or weakly challenged.

If we don't deter this kind of evil and lawless activity, more and more lives will be ruined by these emboldened reprobates. There is a reason that the imputing of criminal conduct is slander per se under the law. There is a reason that investigatory obstruction is unlawful. Either we are a nation of laws, or we are not. This is not some harmless prank; this is wanton, purposeful defamation and calculated interference. Fun fact: every single accuser, including and especially Ford, lied and conspired for partisan political reasons. Ford lied about the supposed assault making her afraid to fly and about needing to add a door to her house as another 'escape'. Completely unforced lies that are obviously preposterous. She 'can't remember' when it was, where it was, how she got there or home. All the witnesses she named say it did not happened. Asked by the committee to hand over her polygraph results, therapist notes, or contacts with Democratic Party lawyers, she refused. NOT the mark of a victim.

2. Trump steadfastly supported his nominee.
For an outsider Trump has better political instincts than most presidents. Or maybe it's just a case of him having bigger balls .
