Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) defended President Trump's requests to the Ukrainian president and the Chinese government to help investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden.

Biden, as vice president, pushed for the firing of the then-chief prosecutor of Ukraine, who had been investigating the CEO of a company that employed his son on its board at $50,000 a month. At Biden's urging, the chief prosecutor, Viktor Shokin was fired and the investigation was eventually closed.

Biden, during an official work trip to China in late 2013, brought his son, who had business meetings during the trip. After the trip, a Chinese private equity fund his son was forming received a Chinese business license that brought the fund into existence.

I wonder how libtard liars here will divert this thread

Leading democrat presidential candidate is obviously a criminal!!! And drug his son into criminal activity

But isn't that expected from the "Entitlement Party?"

They will just ignore it. They commonly like to complain when Reps don't live up to some morality standard but get very quiet when it is one of their own. They want to pretend that other people don't notice. Of course, when you get down to it, they lack the moral foundation upon which to criticize anyone's morality.

As I said with the fake news about Russia, I just want to know the truth.

Much like the myriad double standards we see daily, I really want someone to connect the dots for me: how can the same people who get worked about about Russian hackers and Ukraine have no interest in:
1. The Clinton Foundation receiving millions from Russian and then Russia gets a nice contract
2. Biden's and other Democrats $50K / year jobs with Ukraine
3. Completely ignoring the possibility that the Clinton campaign or Obama administration did the exact thing they accuse President Trump of doing

Do people just ignore any information that does not confirm their bias or just not care if it wins politically?

Do all of the taxpayer dollars going to Trump hotels pass Rand's smell test?

What about Jared and Ivanka pursuing their business interests?

Don Jr. and Eric?

Trump is throwing a lot of rocks from a glass house. Wonder why Rand Paul would pile onto that.

As usual, Breitbart spins the facts away from accuracy.

Burisma was under investigation before Hunter was put on the board.

The firing of Shokin had nothing to do with Burisma.

Find your safe space, if staying off threads at a school you didn't go to helps then by all means lay low. I am going to miss your "crickets" countdown 30 minutes after a pre-dawn post, though...

A textbook example of deflecting right here. Notice all the focus on perceived sins of the right but when sins of the left are pointed out, he/she merely wants to talk about the right. This is how we know that the left really doesn't care about those perceived sins and it is just about trying to win power and control.

Ad homs and whataboutisms pretty much signal you've surrendered the argument but are too tribal to be collegial.

Again - does it not bother anyone that a former vice president's son has a job for which he is not qualified with a foreign entity making an absurd amount of money? This bothers no one? Seriously?

You have to be aware that boards are full of people like Hunter. They don't all have dads who are VP, but it doesn't take that to get on a board. Tons of people with connections and no skills.

Dam good post!

Shockingly, I'm grounded by Quash

Thanks Quash

But this isn't done w "company money," it's all leveraged with OUR MONEY! These scumbags are our employees, not some parent that owns some large corporate entity. Criminal extortion/bribery with our money for the benefit of our employees is not right in more ways than what your speaking and will lead to the downfall of our country if allowed to continue. This DC Country Club needs abolished

I am

However, focusing on the son is a swinging at air strike three

The VP got the real stash here I'm sure if sunshine was allowed. That's whose neck I want.

And other "deals" like this, and much worse, need consequences for the beholders, left and right alike. So far, the Biden deal is just the talk of jealousy in DC as others wish they had the same deal too. That's DC crooked as he'll. Make em hurt bad, and then make the mice scatter in the wind

Actually, no. And that isn't even the issue that is being debated. The issue is whether his position on the board influenced what Biden did as VP and was any leverage of his dad used by Hunter once he was on the board. There is smoke and certainly enough smoke by the standards the democrats have established to use all resources to investigate the matter.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Night cometh! Hurry! [Insert other stupid catch phrases]

I'm aware, but most have a deeper resume than Biden's and didn't get booted from the Navy for cocaine. Looks like Hunter pretty much has monetized his dad's influence most of his life.

No, whataboutism is "remember when your guy did the same thing". This is not bringing up memories, this is more recent than the basis for comparison. Actually makes any more references to Hunter whataboutism.

That is all Jinx knows how to do.

She never has a comment on a Dem doing anything wrong. But a repulbican getting arrested for anything and she is the first to post all about. The more evil the crime the happier she gets.

What makes it worse is how JInx throws out talking points, rumors and lies but ignores the facts about the dems.

Maybe you saw the story about how Trump has one value for lenders and another for the tax man. Dude is just not trustworthy in a business arrangement, never has been.
