Censure for what?

He is up for election. Make "corruption" an issue and let the people decide.

You are correct. CHOO CHOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Republican Senate. Republican House. Populist President.

The Democratic Party is about to disappear for a generation because of a self-inflicted wound.

I expect us to have another feel good do nothing Jimmy Carter/ Barack Obama type Democrat President again around 2036.

It's not the people they're afraid of, Hillary did get signifigantly more votes after all, it's the Electoral College. One of the neat tricks Trump pulls is to convince his supporters to think and act like they are the majority, when they aren't.

OPs calls for a quick censure vote instead of impeachment is exactly the kind of weakness that holds Dems back. Y'all think the GOP would be censuring a President Hillary if she had done what Trump is accused of? No, they would spin up the Fox propaganda machine and build up enough support to either oust her from office or handicap her term.

This Ukraine business isn't even the worst thing Trump is accused of, there is no reason whatsoever to play nice with him and just "move on" after a meaningless censure motion. That would literally be giving Trump the go-ahead to cheat his way to victory in the 2020 election...again.

The Democratic Party is splintered. The new Socialists vs. Older Democrats (55 + yrs.)

The Republican Party for the most part is united.

With something like 15 Democrats currently running for president, of course that party is splintered. The question remains what happens once a nominee emerges.

It appears that the Dems are being drawn into Impeachment like bugs into a zapper. I understand the pressure from the progressive left (from the idiot billionaire, Steyer) to proceed with a trial that has absolutely 0 chance of conviction in the Senate. Why? What sense of justice will be accomplished. What political aims will be accomplished?

My question to Legal experts (which I am not): While it is unstated in the Constitution, it is highly unlikely a President might be impeached a second time. As the process ends in an Acquittal announced by the the Chief Justice, is it fair to assume that a President acquitted of Obstruction of Justice could not be charged again for that crime?

You would be trying to cover it up just like you try to run disinformation on all your establishment Democrat multi millionaire white heroes.

Rudy is flying back stateside with a pile of documents & warm bodies ready to testify.

Why do you think Trump is begging them to impeach? It's like begging someone to sue so you can get them into discovery phase in court. In the Senate it will be open season on all.

Dems are scared of the Electoral College ?

chuckle

Just do an amendment to the Constitution.
If such a change is what the people want....should be easy .

Simple. Presidents cannot "obstruct justice." Ever.
