Wife and I have been on approximately 12 cruises .

Never once has the crew been even 30% American . Usually either Asian or East European .

Agree with Tommie...no to bail out money .

I can't imagine going once, let alone 12 cruises. Give me some highlights and lowlights and maybe I'll be interested. I thought the Alaskan ones might be fun but I've read the most popular advertised along the Rhine amounts to a trip down the Houston Ship Channel.

From our experience...

Best cruise lines

Celebrity
Royal Caribbean
Holland America

Mediocre

Princess
Royal Norwegian

Poor

Carnival

Best destinations

Cruise around New Zealand and the east coast of Australia
Cruise around South America including Cape Horn
Alaskan Passage
Cruise through the Panama Canal
Cruise up the St Lawrence Seaway around Labrador down to Boston

Mediocre cruises

Around Mexico
Western Caribbean
Baltic Sea ( though Saint Pertersburg is fabulous )

Poor destinations

Northern Caribbean islands
US Virgin Islands and Jamaica

I could certainly entertain those on your "Best destinations" list. The rest of little to no interest.

When my kids were teenagers ....they loved cruising . Because they would dump my wife and I almost immediately, make friends ...and run all over the ship.

We were lucky if they showed up for dinner .

Learned over the years to always book a suite or at least a room with a balcony.

Never get an inside cabin.

Off the coast of Panama .

53 quests and 85 crew members have reported to the ships medical center with influenza symptoms .

4 passengers dead

According to one news source there is a total of 10 cruise ships remaining at sea .

Cruises where you are stranded on a crowded boat with hundreds of people, germy all-you-can-eat buffets, cheesy entertainment and tiny rooms have always sounded like hell to me. But I wouldn't wish being trapped on a cruise ship with people dead and dying of coronavirus on my worst enemy.

Don't see how this industry deserves a bailout ever.

Would be thrilled if airlines didn't get one. They are geniuses at privatizing their profits and socializing their losses.

We have enjoyed most of our cruises ....but it's really my wife who pushes for them .

I enjoy white water rafting and hiking through National Monuments and National Parks far more .

Everybody needs a bailout.

I am watching TV right now, Cuomo said NY is getting 3.6 billion and need 15 billion.

So everybody needs a much bigger bailout than they are getting.

Unfortunately it's not a possibility, there is only so much money.
so, are you getting $? Will you cash that check?

Hope Forrest gets a check and cashes it right away .

I know of no one who deserves it more .

On the other hand JR ....it is unlikely either you or I will get a check .

And that's ok too .
