It is funny how stupid people are. Biden was in Congress for 30 years and vice president for eight? Does he have a single accomplishment? Any that point to his current agenda? I mean what kind of idiot would vote for a guy to do stuff he has not done for the last 40 years?

Not only that but look in Biden's eyes

He's aged prematurely recently and there's most likely a reason and it appears possibly dementia

Why would Democrat Party run him? Because the Socialist/Marxist they prefer to destroy our country will be Bidens'(or the Democrat Party) chosen golden goose(like obama was) VP pick

Biden is nothing but a Trojan Horse

Why isn't this obvious to all

It may not be obvious to all, but it's probably obvious to a lot more people than the left would have you believe. What's also obvious is based on the left's continued desperate, unhinged actions and rhetoric, deep down inside they also know these polls are BS.

So now that we pretty much established there's little to no positive excitement for Biden (beyond Trump hate), somebody please explain to me how you win an election for POTUS based solely on the "I hate the other guy so bad I'll vote for anybody or anything else" votes(?)
Actually in a lot of people's mind this is exactly how Trump got elected. Especially for the long-term Dem voters that just couldn't stand Clinton. And those may have been the difference in those midwestern states that Trump barely won.

Actually, those peoples minds are wrong. I addressed this in some detail earlier in the thread, but Trump ran on a stated agenda of proactive and positive things he would do if elected in 2016, much of which has been fulfilled or is being fulfilled and that's amazing given the opposition he's had to deal with. Hillary being a weak candidate helped, but Trump in no way ran based exclusively on "my opponent sucks and that's it" as Biden is doing. It's amazing to me how many people are still so blind as to why Trump won in 2016 and why he's going to do it again in 2020.
There is a difference between what Trump promised (and largely failed to fulfill, even with both houses of Congress) and why people voted for Trump. Blackie is correct: you described 2016 perfectly.

Quash continues to prove his progressive credentials, even as he continues to claim to be libertarian.

It's apparent that Trump has had some real success. Denying them is irrational and emotional,

The question is not how Trump's base will act, nor Biden's, but whether the independents will weigh the Democrats' noise as equal to or more important than Trump's successes, and whether Trump's twitter and temper will cause independents to ignore the accomplishments of his first term.

Your memory is awfully short (probably because the perps here are white and Republican):

I'm with you to stop voter fraud. It happens as you so ably illustrated in the post above.

Stop voter fraud

Let's start with accurate vote counts, as that problem is orders of magnitude worse.
We should do both
We should have. Instead, we wasted years on Voter ID.
Who doesn't have a picture ID?
Not every picture ID works: college IDs for one. Because kids vote for Democrats. So even that solution was politicized. There may be a partisan reason not to count every ****ing vote.

College ID is no good because they are too easy to fake, and they often give them to people based on just filing out a form... no verification needed.
It's a joke to think that college ID is reliable... but then again, you're a liberal... so maybe I should speak slower and eliminate the big words.
Just filling out a form and going to class. Kinda like the CHL permit.

And it would take someone who thinks I'm a liberal not to realize 15 year olds can get a fake driver's license.

LOL... stupid liberals...

A CHL (actually, it's called a LTC now) requires a form, a class, shooting test, electronic fingerprint form, and a federal background check.

You open your mouth and you confirm your stupidity.

The FAFSA does not require a fingerprint, federal background check, photo for ID,... nothing. You are a total fool for saying it is "more in depth", than a LTC.
Also, there is no requirment to fill out the FAFSA for a student ID. Each college/university is different, but I just checked with the local Community College in my area, and they only require:

1. enroll in at least one class
2. pay the first payment on your tuition payment plan
3. another form of ID which can include another student ID, or CC plus Library Card
4. a few days later you can drop your classes and get a refund, but keep your ID

and that's it.
College ID is a joke. There is a reason why no one will take a college ID as verification for cashing a check, buying liquor or cigarettes, or almost any other transaction which requires a photo ID.
College ID is used for access to campus facilities, and for getting a student discount at the local store. No one off of campus will take your college ID as proof of ID for anything important... but I guess that shows how much you liberals value a vote. To you, voting is less important than cashing a $15 check.

A campaign aide for VA Congressman Scott Taylor commits fraud to get a third-party candidate on the ballot to improve Taylor's chances of re-election in 2018:

https://www.wavy.com/news/politics/virginia-politics/ex-scott-taylor-staffer-pleads-guilty-to-signing-election-petitions-she-didnt-circulate/

FAFSA is more in depth. A shooting test is like the SAT, merely a test of the required skillset.

There is no valid reason not to use a college ID.
LOL.

You are a true idiot.

Voting is important enough that all the votes should be counted. But for you it is more important to disenfranchise the young, the old and the frail. You must be so proud in your fight to prevent that .00003-.000005% of vote fraud. Meanwhile 3% of votes go unaccounted in every election.
You are so full of **** that your eyes are turning brown.
If someone is too stupid or lazy to get a free photo ID... then they probably shouldn't be voting in the first place.
Your disenfranchise BS is just that... total bull *****

"Now we see the violence inherent in the system."

Voting is a state defined privilege, although I believe it is a right protected (not created) under the Constitution (14th, 15th, 19th, 24th, 26th amendments). The stupid and lazy people never went through the small hassle of getting registered to vote. Having worked a couple of voter registration drives I've seen the apathy first hand. It sorts itself out. But for those who always registered, always voted, but never had the "right" ID, they have been suppressed. Find another way to say it, you still threw a barrier between them and their rights.

And there's still that much larger counting issue.
“Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place.” (The Law, p.6) Frederic Bastiat

I have made a decision, after considering Ashley's words, to focus on the good and positive.

There is far too much of the other, and we are diminished by such mutterings and insults.

Banter is one thing, but this vitriol - from anyone - does no good and should be addressed.

I know some here are too invested in grudges to let them go, and some seem to have let pettiness and bitter hate seep into their personal character.

I just hope for better, for all of us.

When you actually answer my question, we can proceed. There are so many threads from progressives which obsess on the President, I see no good purpose in taking this thread down that way.
Ok what science or specific question did you ask that I didn't answer? I'm waiting.
You said you trust 'science', but did not give specifics.

With regard to the virus, do you focus on death rates, case numbers, specific groups most affected by the virus, or what exactly?

Thanks in advance for your specific answer.

To be fair, this also violates the advisory which the site owner posted front and center on the forum.

Sheesh

Why do you post this defense of a lying Quash?

Let it go

Quash is nothing but a hypocrite and is being exposed as such
I have made a decision, after considering Ashley's words, to focus on the good and positive.

You shut your trap, you dirty old....

I'm just kidding.

I didn't see that post by Ash. I'll try to be a good boy from now on. Pretty tough to remain civil when people are literally tearing down our history though.

I think this post violates the warning we got from the site administrator about avoiding personal attacks

Report me, snowflake.
Ahem. From the site boss:

We will allow free speech and opinions as long as it doesn't descend into anger, threats and personal attacks.

Thanks- Ashley

Is it that far beyond you to show the respect and decorum the site owner asked for?

I have been guilty of snark and rudeness in the past but I am on board with this revival of clean purpose, and if you pay attention, I called out both sides in this thread for that behavior.

Here is where you show your choice of character. Choose wisely.
You see anger in every post you disagree with. <yawn>

I'm not sure of your specific question. But, I'll give it a try. I focus on the recommendations of epidemiologists, who rely on scientific research, as opposed to politicians, who rely upon their seat of the pants whims and gut feelings. Viruses do what viruses do without regard to politics. As to the items you enumerated, you have to consider and focus on all of those among others against the backdrop of what we know about viruses in general, and what we have learned about this virus specifically, and other closely related viruses. South Korea has successfully followed the scientific experts recommendations early on. As a result they have less than 300 total deaths and the virus under control with minimal impact on their economy. The key factors to their success is they require masks and social distancing. They have an aggressive robust testing program to identify, quarantine, contact trace, and isolate. Other successful localities have followed a similar approach. We have not done this as a country, and we are seeing the consequences of ignoring science.

I thought my question was clear, but let me try again:

Of the following, which should take priority in media attention and medical actions:

A) Deaths from the virus
B) Number of new cases
C) Demographics most at-risk
D) none of the above

Thanks again.
